“Home Away From Home”
Reviewed 31 August 2013 for a stay in August 2013

This really is a home away from home! Every little thing has been thought of, so there really is pretty much nothing that you need to get you started and the welcome pack of scones, jam (totally scrum my and last five minutes!!), milk, butter and bread was so thoughful as was the arrival of Daphne with a complimentary bottle of wine!! The cottage is spotlessly clean and very well equipped. I liked having decent sized towels too, rather than the minuscule ones we have been provided with in other establishments! It is so quiet there that hearing a vehicle go past is strange. However the cottage is well located for getting to places and which ever way you travel you will eventually get back to where you started, so it's quite hard to get lost!! Whether you choose to cook in the lovely kitchen (which I would not mind having for myself) or eat out you won't go hungry!!! The swimming pool was also brilliant. This cottage was a brilliant find. My only observation would be that, while the pressure in the shower is awesome the changing water temperature is a wee bit irksome. Apart from that I defy anyone to find fault with this cottage!!! :)

“Spacious, well equipped, well furnished and a great touring base!”
Reviewed 23 July 2013 for a stay in July 2013

Moat Path Cottage is a very comfortable, spacious property. It's well equipped for every eventuality and furnished in a traditional, elegant way. It was great for the three of us to have so much room, and it could accommodate six easily over two floors. The cottage has its own garden with play equipment, which is ideal for young children, and even kept my 12 year old son occupied! Wifi connection and access to the owner's outdoor pool in summer months are a bonus. Whilst there isn't a huge amount to do in the village itself, the location is a superb touring base to explore the Cotswolds, Stratford-upon-Avon and even further afield. As a National Trust or English Heritage member you will be spoilt for choice with the number of properties nearby. And there are plenty of activities for younger children too, as well as the opportunity to just enjoy the beautiful scenery! The village shop has recently re-opened, which is adequate for basic supplies and papers, and there is a large Morrison's within a few minutes drive. Would definitely return - highly recommended.
