Ballycarry has this wonderful old graveyard, complete with the ruins of a 400 year old church. It is along one end of the main road that runs across the town. Inside there is a map which tells you where some more famopus people are buried, like the Bard of Ballycarry, a poet called Orr. He has a grand big headstone, while many of the very oldest are all worn away and covered in ivy - very rustic and atmospheric. There are big tall trees and a newer church next door, over a rock wall, and great views down to the coast and Scotland far away. A wonderful spot for some contemplation, even if you don't have any ancestors buried there.
