Everything you need is here. Very up to date and great facilities.Great for children with a lot of room for them to run around. Kelly & Dave are very helpful and welcoming. Would definately stay here again.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom chalet. What a comfortable place and a superb location. Great facilities including pool, TV in the chalet and even ESPN and Sky in the lounge. Very hospitably run. We got good advise about the best beaches and fishing trips.Inexpensive.Pam and I would love to go back but regrettably we're from the UK. Lucky Kiwis.

We stumbled upon this site after checking out Cooks beach, when we pulled in we rung the bell in reception and waited for about 5 mins before deciding to leave when we went to drive out, someone came running out and said its $22 a night special offer for a powered site, park anywhere and pay in the morning.

After being used to paying $22 for DOC (department of conservation) sites that only offered a long drop toilet, very rarley running water and no power, cooks beach was a god send, granted the staff were a bit grumpy and didnt seem to friendly at times but we had power, running water, laundry room, hot showers, pool and spa, kitchen, tv room so we were very happy.

The only thing that needs improving is the customer service but would recommend this place to anyone.

This is the cleanest and most relaxed campground I have ever stayed in. The facilities are incredible, right down to hairdryers in the bathrooms and masses of fridge and freezer space.
The perfect place to relax and unwind. The kids beamed from morning till night! We will be back most definitely!!
Try Mercury Bay Vineyards goats cheese platter and Chardonnay!! Amazing mmm

Room Tip: As they have fantastic hand dryers in the bathrooms, I wouldn't want to stay too close to the ba...

I camped here for 2 nights during my midweek days off. The place was very clean, well put together (already stated in my previous review) and suited my needs perfectly. The management team were very friendly and accommodating. That spa pool is amazing for a bit of relaxation in the late evening! I did not even make the most of their amazing facilities - filleting station and boat wash will be used next time!

Room Tip: I was camping. There are many flat sites to pitch a tent.

At $22 a night per person for a non powered site it was certainly not the cheapest place we have stayed at. However the facilities were amazing, most of which looked new.

There was a swimming pool, very large kitchen with multiple hobs and ovens, several fridge freezers, hot boiling water, microwaves and large preparation are. There's also a sitting area with sky tv. Showers were clean and hot.

We were camped right next to the river. Plenty of flat pitches and quiet. However do bring a repellent as we got bitten quite badly there.

Perfect base to explore the Coromandel peninsular
