We visited this shack like restaurant on 4 lunchtime occasions and found it to be excellent.
The barbecued sardines and the Arroz de Marisco were delicious and it was full of locals which is always a great recommendation

Very nice beachfront restaurant with good selection of seafood and local produce.Very popular with local clientele and reasonably priced - the local sardines are particularly nice and prepared on an open barbecue in front of the restaurant.A real touch of genuine Spain!

This Chiringuito is situated beside a walkway which is frequented by tourists, yet virtually none of them eat here; this is a pity, because they don't know what they are missing. It may be because the place looks a bit like a shack, tucked in behind the modern apartments and hotels of the Punta del Moral, or the fact that it was only open (when we visitied, in May) in the afternoons; however, the fact that it is busy with Spanish customers who have obviously driven past many other restauarants to eat here is a clear indication of the quality of the cooking and the freshness of the seafood.

The menu is almost exclusively seafood, although they will cook other things on request. The specialty is "Primitivo en arroz a la marinera", which I translate as "seafood in wild rice" and it seems that every regular customer has this as their main course! Everything is fresh and delicious, and prices are about average for the area. Service is friendly and helpful, although the staff do not speak English.

My only regret is that they did not have the BBQ going when we visited, so I could not have the grilled sardines.

A genuine Spanish restaurant offering excellent food, hidden in a toursit resort: if I am ever in the area again, I will eat here as often as I can!
