What a wonderful, relaxing and enjoyable stay. A comfortable, clean and cosy cabin (Snuggle Inn), great hospitality from hosts Debbie and Murray and our three children (even the teenager) just loved feeding the horses at the cabin, milking the cows, horse riding and best of all, the quad bike ride! The raft on the dam, provided the kids with hours of fun and some peace for us adults. This is our second visit to Brockhurst and the experience was just as great as our last one five years ago! We can't wait to return again. Thanks Debbie and Murray!

Out little family stayed in the ridge top cabin which is nestled at the top of a large valley overlooking Brisbane. We could see all the way to the gateway and had uninterrupted views of the big city lights.

We had such a great weekend going for walks, feeding the horses and mostly just relaxing on the varandah taking everything in. We just did not want to leave! The cabin was great, excellent kitchen and very comfortable.

We took our two small dogs and they had a great time swimming in the dam and sun baking and our daughter just loved the animals.

We will not hesitate in going back to brockhurst cabins and hope to bring along many others with us!

Spent a few nights in the "Tallowood"cabin.Great place for the whole family, the Kids loved milking the cows, feeding the ducks and chickens, riding the horses etc. Comfortable accommodation including a log fire. Kids can roam free and hand feed the horses, do yourself a favour and spend a few nights showing the kids where eggs and milk really come from. Thanks Murray and Debbie

Thanks for taking the time to give us a good review. The aim for us is to let city kids get up and personal with the animals, give them the opportunity to put away those electric gismos, and experience some natural, country entertainment. Hope to see you back soon. Till next time Debbie

We recently spent two nights in the "Snuggle Inn", a 2 bedroom cabin on the farm. The cabin easily coped with two adults and three kids, and the farm had everything we could want. Debbie and Murray were wonderful hosts and keen to talk all things farm. We got uninterrupted views to the city, an unsinkable raft to play on and a glass of wine under the stars. The kids got to feed ducks, chickens, geese, sheep, cows, calves, and horses. Best of all, the kids got a fantastic ride on the horses, and had a blast on the quad bike with Murray. They have been raving about it ever since. We will definitely be back.

We stayed in the "Snuggle Inn" cabin for 3 nights which is the 2-bedroom cabin. They have 3 cabins for rent, a 1, 2 and a 3-bedroom. The 1 and 3 bedroom cabins have uninterrupted views to Brisbane city and the 2-bedroom is nestled in the trees but you can still see Brisbane through the trees.

We went in winter and had the fireplace going most of the time so the cabin was nice and warm. The weather had been very wet for the past few weeks and it rain a lot on the first day so everything was quite muddy. Very glad we bought our gum boots! The weather fined up the next 2 days so the kids got to enjoy the farm.

The dam was fun and they had a raft with paddles and life jackets so the kids took it out for a row around the dam. You can also swim although it was far too cold for that in July. The raft is stable enough for 3 youngish kids and 1 adult.

The kids fed the animals each morning at 8am. They have lots of ducks, geese, chickens, a rooster, sheep, a goat, horses and cows. The kids were able to milk the cow one of the mornings and did the horse ride on another morning. Our older boys (age 9 and 11) loved the quad bike ride with Murray and our 5 year-old girl loved the horse ride. It was a lead ride around the farm but great fun for young kids.

They also provide a bag of cut carrots in the fridge to feed the horse. They come right up to you cabin fence looking for food (they were obviously expected some carrots).

We brought our Dalmatian "Spot" and he was allowed to roam around the cabin in the fenced area and we could take him around the farm on a lead. The dog can sleep on the veranda or inside as long as you bring your own bedding. Check their website for more details about bringing your dog.

The kitchen is not huge but big enough to cook meals fairly comfortably. We had 5 of us (2 adults and 3 kids - 11, 9 and 5) and it was cosy. You can sleep up to 7 using the sofa bed but it would be a bit squishy.

There is a nice restaurant (or so we heard) called Birches just a few minutes away. Unfortunately, they only open Wednesday to Sunday and we stayed from Sunday to Wednesday so we could not make it there. There is also a winery with a restaurant which was also closed early in the week. We heard they are both child-friendly. There is also Mt Mee State Forest with some bushwalks and 4WD tracks about 10 minutes drive away. We didn't make it there due to all the rain but that would be good option for a local outing. Dayboro is about 15 minutes away to the South and Montville and Maleny is just over hour's drive North (good for a wet day).

It was a nice break, only an hour or so from Brisbane and it was good to bring our dog. We also left all electronic games at home and played lots of board games and card games and explored the farm.

Thanks Debbie and Murray for a great stay!

Room Tip: The 1 and 3 bedroom has a great view. The 2-bedroom is amongst the trees but Brisbane is still visi...
