We happening to be' in the area for the weekend and tried a restaurant we have been to a few Times on the via Futa.
Been infortunately full we continued in the roadshow towards Mugello and come upon LA Casa Di Caccia.
A very plesant surprise.
As the restaurant was full they offered us an aperitivo on the terrace.
We were seated within 10mins.
I have to be honest it was probably not one of the best days as there were two parties going on so quite busy and full lots of noise but the food definitely made up for it.
The most delicious ravioli with basil sauce followed by a tagliata with racket and parmesan a Fab bottle of Chianti and finised off with Vin Santo and cantucci.
Will definitely return on our next trip, we actually might book as they also have rooms which actually seemed quite nice

(April 2013) We were staying in the countryside (Scarperia) and happened upon this restaurant while driving around. It was a Wednesday and technically 'off-season', and there weren't any other customers. They were so kind and the food was delicious! I highly recommend going if you're in the area.

Mirella is an awesome host, she treats her guests as Family. Here, you can eat homemade pasta. It is absolutely a culinary success! Traditional Tuscan flavors with a twist. My 5 year had a wonderful time eating there and playing around the villa overlooking Galliano.....

A great restaurant, that survived it's move from the hills above Vicchio to Galliano very well. Mirella is a great hostess and the food is simple yet excellent. Try the duck breast capaccio, the pasta con salsa tartuffata and the controfiletto. Yumm. The wild boar stew is great as well. Real Italy

For those who have not been in a while the Casa di Caccia has moved to Galliano. They still have the same great food they have always had but no longer do they have the spectacular view. Yes the menu remains unchanged and my favorite is still the ravioli stuff with smoked scamarzo and with a truffle sauce. The new location is very nice and easy to find. The staff is still friendly and the service is good.
