“clean and tidy”
Reviewed 1 August 2013

Stayed for a night. The room was clean and tidy. Did not have time to get to know the hosts, but if I was to return to auckland for a longer stay, would try it. If I had stayed longer I might have given it a better rating. I didn't realise there was a big park across the road, which is definite thing I would have liked to have wandered around.

Room Tip: Pick a room away from the roadside as it is very busy. Otherwise the rooms were excellent.

Stayed for 2 nights at the Cornwall Park Motor Inn and it was a really good experience. The room was a good size with a double bed and large TV and the kitchen was stocked with enough equipment for a short stay. Bed was soft but comfortable and the eggs I had for breakfast were well cooked and delivered promptly. Free wifi also provided, which was a bonus. If in the same area, I'd definitely stay again.

Room Tip: Room 19 was away from the road and tucked into the back corner of the motel, i.e. very quiet.

Stayed at this Motel for 7 nights. This was my third visit and was very pleasantly surprised to find that Nigel, the owner had remember which room I liked and had everything ready for me when I arrived. The room was clean, well appointed, with its own kitchen, spa, flat screen TV, air conditioning (cool and heat), electric blankets, iron, ironing board and free Wifi. Unfortunately Nigel and Diane have sold and are leaving after 30 years and hopefully the new owners keep the motel to the high standard, friendliness and helpfulness that it displays at present.

Room Tip: There are studio, one bedroom, 2 bedroom apartments over 2 levels. I all ways ask for one away from...

We stayed at the motel as it was on the way to the airport. We had an early plane and wanted to make sure that we could get to the airport without a nerveracking drive through the city. The owner was very friendly and the rooms were quite large with a good sized bathroom. Internet (WiFi) was free. The motel had a guest laundry which was quite handy in the middle of our holiday. The rooms had an iron and ironing board which is common in most motels. There were a number of restauarants nearby. We choose a small Italian restaurant just down the road which was excellent (have forgotten the name).

Lovely rooms and kids loved the fact they had a TV in their bedroom, as did we, not that they actually used it.
As I say in the title I feel a bit over priced but guess that just goes with it being Auckland.
I was a bit put off with the cockroach and ants that we had in the room and the brush off of just "yeh that happens here". Being on a road trip and staying in a number of motels with this one being the most expensive it was the only one to suffer from insects.
WiFi was restricted, as it seems is the thing in most places but they were kind enough to give us 2 tickets for our stay as there was 4 of us which just about covered the access with us being careful

We are sorry that you thought that the 2 bedroom apartment was a little over priced for what was supplied. This is an exceptional apartment and is in high demand by many regular customers. The room rate has not changed for nearly two years while our other costs have. The room rate is slight higher on other online booking sites where you made your booking from, whereas the best prices can be obtained from our own website had you booked directly.
The roach is actually a vegetarian bug that lives outside in the garden plants. While we take every step to ensure that the building is regularly sprayed the odd one will occasionally find its way through a open window into a room. They are quite harmless but look horrible. Ants will also find there way in from outside when it rains (which it did ) looking for sugar or drink spills on a bench. When rooms are cleaned or serviced daily, measures are taken to ensure that rooms are free from these types of temptations. In addition there is always an aerosol spray can in each room. Auckland is built on volcanic rock and it is a problem that all households & business’s face to control these pests. On arrival we provided 600mbs free Wifi with no time limits. This is usually enough for checking emails, but when using Skype or Facebook, the video or picture content eats up the allowance very quickly. More would have been supplied if necessary. We personally have paid $30 per 100mbs when we have stayed in hotels overseas and have had to use it within 24 hours.

Stayed here for three nights. In agreement with other reviews, our room was of a high standard, very clean and comfortable. Free wireless. Chose this motel for its location to Brightside Hospital in Epsom. Would definitely stay here again and would recommend to others.

My family and I stay here every time we travel to Auckland from New York. Rooms are clean, comfortable and fitted out to a high standard. There are various types of rooms ranging from a studio to at least a two bedroom unit with a separate lounge, they may have bigger but that is all I have seen. All rooms have been recently redecorated with high quality fittings. Bathrooms are large and well appointed. The motel is an easy drive from the airport and only a few minutes drive from central Auckland (traffic willing). Cornwall Park is just over the road for a morning walk and there is an excellent fish and chip shop just a few doors down if you want to revise the real Kiwi experience. Owner is friendly and help. I would highly recommend this motel.

Room Tip: Go for a ground level room if you have a lot of bags.
