“Perfect romantic retreat.”
Reviewed 17 March 2015 for a stay in March 2015

Cabin was beaut. Hot tub tmpremental but owner straight on the case and got it sorted. No pub or shop mo n to Fri out of season but Kilmartin not too far away offers all. Stunning location and excellent service. Wish we had known about Kilmartin tho as we went to Oban for sugar and milk etc. Maybe visitor info could be updated (ie local business opening hours). On the whole it was a very pleasant stay in a beautiful part of the world. Would def recommend. Thank you.x

Hi Fiona,
Glad you enjoyed your stay and thanks for kind words in your review.
Thanks for tip about Kilmartin, we'll add to website; although I'm not sure it's much closer than Oban.

Regards, David

“Great Cabin - Stunning Scenery - Fantastic stargazing”

Cabin was great - had everything you needed there at hand ... do a shop before you go, though - shop in town was a bit sparse but the Loch Awe Grill/restaurant was fantastic. We had a local doggy visitor named Gizzy (remarkably chilled out and friendly black lab) who hung out for a while. Firepit in front of the property was nice. Beds were comfortable and we all slept like the dead.
Used the hot tub which was lovely, but it took a bit of faffing to get right - advice: light the fire early (at least 5 hrs before you want to go in), stir the water from the bottom often while heating (cold water sinks to the bottom) and keep the fire very well stoked. Once it was hot, though, it was just lovely - out stargazing in the hot tub was sooooo relaxing.

Two of our group saw Tufty (red squirrel) out in our yard very early, but I personally missed him. The single-track road to/from the cabins is a bit harrowing but not un-driveable (watch out for the cows, sheep and deer that might be on the road). We were only there for a long weekend so didn't take advantage of the fishing/boating but it looked like a great place for it.
All in all was a lovely place and a great cabin.

If you are looking for a peaceful relaxing holiday this is for you, glass of wine over looking the loch, spot of fishing or a walk through the beautiful countryside, the cabins are very well appointed a short distance away from other visitors. My wife and I would go back again and recommend it to friends and family
