After riding our Harkey-Davidson for a good part of the day we decided with the guidance of our friends that we should do a total random stop and this is were we came. Just the ride off the main road then up the long drive drive was the start of an awesome night. The main lodge was fabulous, the views amazing and our apartment fantastic with everything you need. We had room service which was nice, the area is very lovely. Beds comfortable for a great nights rest. Could have stayed longer to enjoy some of the activities this place offers. Thank you

This was a business trip and I feel very lucky to have had the opportunity to stay at this awesome location. The villas are contemporary with everything you need, stunning views and great facilities. The restaurant was excellent with some fantastic meals on the menu.
Unfortunately didn't get to play a round but I think I might just be back to do so and I have to travel from Perth.

We stayed here for only one night in January. The resort is superbly maintained and has a real air of class about it. This stems from the fantastic mountain backdrop and the top quality golf course.

The villas are some of the best that we've seen. They had huge rooms, a great kitchen, fantastic views and spa baths.

We got to play a round on the golf course and having played many of the worlds best golf courses I can honestly say that this is a superb course.

The main drawback was that there isn't a swimming pool or jacuzzi which is actually quite a big drawback given that most people who come here will want to relax after either skiing or playing golf. The other reason that it lost a point is that it's in the middle of no where. Still, it's highly recommended for golfers or skiers.

Superb, great spot to relax and chill out. It's on the foot of Mt. Hatt and built on edge of Rakaia Valley. Unfortunatelly we could not enjoy the view of whole mountains because of the wether, but our chalet was facing beautiful golf course and it was fun to see peopel's playing golf, with a glass of wine! Our chalet is very spacious, the bathroom is furnished with jagzzi, we had a marvelous relaxing experience. Highly recommend the property.
The dinner served at the golf club restaurant is also awesome.

We came to Terrace Downs on Tuesday 17th for Lunch and was served by a lovely young lady from the UK. We had the Salmon Salad, 2 burger specials and the Steak, it was terrific.Over the weekend we came back to have lunch with some friends and it was a total let down. There was far to many people for the Brunch for the number of staff on duty, food kept running out and water & drinks were not topped up. This is supposed to be a fine dining resort offering excellent service, this time it was poor.

Things will have to be changed before I go back, as i'm disgusted for the amount we paid!

I bought a scoopon as part of our family holiday. A 5 star location to show off the region. We skied at mnt Hutt which was a short drive every day. We didn't make use of the activities due to focussing on skiing. For a family holiday or a romantic get away, highly recommendable.

We did a day trip to this incredibly scenic area which included clay shooting and a return later for wine and bar snacks.

The shooting had been given to me as a gift and I was a little apprehensive at first. Neil is an incredibly competent and patient instructor. Safety was paramount and I had the absolute best experience ever. I can't wait to return.

As it was Mothers Day the restaurant was packed. We opted to tour around Lake Coleridge Village and visit the lake before returning for some wine and wedges.

Terrace Downs is so handy to Christchurch and the area is very beautiful. Ideal day trip destination or even better would make a very romantic destination. They have a day spa too so if you must take your golf clubs a non golfing partner can have a great time without you.
