Located near the center of Dolphin Bay, Sam Loi Yot, this is a great place for families, but don't go there as a romantic getaway. The pool area is great, with a water slide, kid friendly pool and a separate pool (that can be used for swimming at times). The play ground is also very good, safe and fun for the kids. The area is green, trimmed and pleasant.

The rooms are nice, clean and well-maintained. The bungalows are currently being renovated (and this was done exclusively when we were not around - nice), but our was in pretty good condition never-the-less.

The breakfast buffet is good, prices are reasonable. The dining place is right by the pool, which allows you to sit and enjoy its services, while keeping an eye on the kids or just using it as a resting place while playing in the pool. The service was very nice and helpful.

The only two let downs are 1) the beach is not great for swimming and 2) the pool water was not directly murky, but foggy. Since the pool part of the main attraction (for my kids) I would recommend an upgrade to the filter/pump-system.

Room Tip: Get a bungalow, the apartment rooms on the right-side can have some noise from scooters driving by i...

Perfect for a short break. Enough kids aroudn to keep your kids busy! You can relax, enjoy the spa or join the kids. Great food menu for kids and adults! a number of activities to do - from renting bicycle or motor bikes to watching movies.
You may find it a bit noisy with kids around, but its great when they are busy with their own stuff and thats what this place ensures!
Beach is calm , not great for swim but decent if you like one!
Definate worth more visits
Cautin - Not in Hua Hin , but at Pranburi - I hope Trip Advisor can rectifiy that !

We spent 9 nights in the 2-BR apartment next to the massage room. We have three kids under age 5, and we were able to relax and enjoy being there. My husband and I got massages and enjoyed frozen drinks, while the kids liked the playground and quiet beach. We all spent a lot of time in the two wonderful pools directly next to the restaurant. Being there is just effortless--the resort can handle any need you have, and you can just enjoy your time together as a family. I wasn't sure about returning to the same spot, when there are so many other places we haven't seen, but my husband was right. We love this place and are likely to return in years to come.

Room Tip: The 2 bedroom apartments are definitely the best choice. The rooms are separated by a fairly large l...

Party - two adults and 17 year old girl.Very quite. Mainly families with young children here. The Thai food was disapointing not like the wonderful Thai food we had been enjoying from the streets and restaurants elsewhere. Restaurant up the road (right shut at 8.30 pm Tried a small Indian next to a bar just up the road , not good. Hire bikes take a look at beach around the corner (out of hotel turn right head for the Brasserie) its beautiful we were the only people there, has a nice sandy beach and no squidgy mud in the sea as the hotel beach had. Sea water is not clear here anywhere. Fishing trip with combined monkey Island and the cave is the best trip. Wonderful beach at the cave location , fishing man will wait for you, no set time within reason of course. Staff very helpful and polite. Rooms very nice and clean. Pool area was very nice. Rained now and then but who cares its warm. My daughter enjoyed the Spy wine cooler it was one of the 2 for 1 offers, they ran out on our first night, never got anymore. Small shop 50 mtrs away had some, also good for washing clothes as price per total weight not item. Hua Hin (go via taxi, hotel arrange) night market was a bit disapointing not very big, But do go to the chinese restaurant over the road at the bottom of the market street if you go, excellent food and good value, everything shuts down at 11 pm around the market. After this stay we returned back to Bangkok and a packed daily itinery sampling the heritage and culture of this wonderful country.

Room Tip: All looked ok around the pool none being better than others.

This way my second visit to this little beach resort.
We booked the rooms via online 3rd party agent. We were supposed to get the upper floor rooms
However, due to the low season we were given the twin rooms chalet with a nice view of the pool.
Check in was fuss free and staff was friendly . English spoken was good enough to convey our requirements and wishes,

Due to the near empty guests, the restaurant closed very early. We ordered our drink without the staff warning us that they be closing for the day soon. I barely get to sip my tea when the staff began to turn off the restaurant lights and fans.
We were totally taken off guard by the staff' s action. A little pre warning before we ordered our drinks would be helpful. We could opt to go elsewhere for drinks.

The first night was a nightmare for us. The air on was faulty causing icing on the intake grill. Air was blocked and to compound the matter further, water was dripping profusely to the floor. We could not open the window as the resort was full of Mosquitos. The reception was too closed very early with only the security staff on duty for the rest of the night. I had to endure the whole night with a faulty air on causing the room to be very hot and stuffy.

The hotel manager was kind enough to rectify the faulty aircon the next day.

Other than that, the resort was a wonderful place to spend a couple of very quiet nights. The beach was not really that good for swimming as it was not sandy .
As for outside dining, there is a wonderful little restaurant run by a lady named Dao. Mama Dao can whip up a nice cosy Thai dinner at prices that would put smiles on anyone wallet . The beach side restaurant is just about 50m from the hotel. Convenient

Thankfully, I managed a good second night sleep with air on fixed by the hotel's own maintenance crew .

PRO
Very nice location
Very nice hotel rates
Friendly reception
Prompt action after complaint

CON
Restaurant closes too early.
Very limited choice for recreation
Good beach proximity but beach not that good for a good swim
Limited in house breakfast menu

Dear Sir, thank you very much to have take time to review nicely our resort. We would like to apologise for both issues. Regarding the restaurant, our staff should have warm you about the early closing and offer you a last drink.
About the AirCon failure, the regular procedure should have been follow and offer to move you to another room (as we had some available). We are still trying to find out what happen and we will make sure it will not happen again ...
And your last point about the lack of recreation, we just add Paddle Boarding to our small list.
We really hope to see you and your friends again, for another bike trip. Sincerely, Agathe and Greg

A great value for money where we felt welcomed and in a cosy and relaxed atmosphere in a little green paradise by the sea.
Different activities are also possible such as climbing (to see an amazing cave) cycling or simply swimming in the sea which is just in front of the resort or enjoying the salty water pool. A perfect getaway for spending a week end far from Bangkok craziness combining great atmosphere, great food, good service and great accommodation in cosy and functional rooms. A must try!
