“Excellent, warm, comfortable, spacious, well-equipped house”

We have just returned home having thoroughly enjoyed a week at Woodlands with friends. The house was clean and comfortable and equipped with all that you could need. The four toilets, three showers and two baths meant that there were no queues despite the fact that there were thirteen of us in the house. The large table in the kitchen is where the adults spent most of their evenings and is a great social area. The boys (young and older) enjoyed pool tournaments in the games shed. Invershiel is a perfect base for exploring the area and there are so many amazing places to visit. The seal boat trip at Plockton was excellent, the viewpoint on the way over to Glenelg, where you have the finest view of the five sisters of Kintail and not least of all, the road to Applecross, a must if you are visiting the area. The Isle of Skye is just a short drive and is well worth a visit. An added bonus was amazingly good weather for October, with clear blue skies. The owner, Paula, was ever so helpful and a pleasure to deal with. If you have never explored this area, Woodlands is a must. It is very reasonably priced and good value. We will definitely be back.

Our second stay in Woodlands which says it all.

This property has a huge table in the kitchen and a huge lounge which makes it a very sociable base for a large group.

“Amazing views and so much to do.”
Reviewed 1 October 2014 for a stay in September 2014

We stayed at woodlands for 5 days an couldn't believe how cheap it was for 12 people in one house.
The views are breath taking and the house was enormous.
We had such a great time with a trip to Skye an traditional music at the local hotel.
I would go certainly go back again.

“Fantastic Christmas in a wonderful, cosy cottage!”
Reviewed 23 January 2014 for a stay in December 2013

Woodlands cottage is a lovely, cosy cottage, ideal for a big family get together. We had a lovely Christmas week there. Spectacular scenery, fantastic living room with open fire, which just looked amazing on christmas morning covered in Christmas presents. The huge kitchen table provided the perfect setting for Christmas dinner and many more lovely home cooked meals, in the best equipped self catering cottage I have ever been in. We all fell in love with both the cottage and the area. Would highly recommend the long but simply breathtaking drive to Applecross ( over the mountain pass weather permitting or coastal route). Would recommend doing a big shop in the Tesco/Morrisons in Inverness or getting Asda delivery as catering for a large number of people using the small, local shops would be tricky/expensive. We are already planning a trip back up to Woodlands with friends.

“Lovely cottage in a fantastic location”
Reviewed 21 January 2014 for a stay in January 2014

Lovely cottage in Glen Shiel with easy access to several superb munros. The cottage itself is large, comfortable and well equipped, and the large lounge is a great place to relax after a long day on the hill. The drive across the mountains to the Applecross Inn is a must - stunning scenery and fantastic food. We'll definitely be back!

“Wonderful cottage in the Highlands”
Reviewed 3 April 2013 for a stay in March 2013

This is a lovely cottage, which comfortably accommodated 14 of us. Comfortable beds, working internet connection, hot water and a superbly-equipped kitchen. We have been coming here for several years and will come back for many more.
