This was our first stop on our trip in the UK. We wanted something outside of London but with good communication to get in. The rooms were clean and big and the bathroom was fresh. The breakfast was nothing special but alright. Free parking right outside and friendly staff. The Innkeeper's lodge is about a 40 minute train ride from the center of London which worked good until we were going home late. We had to take a compensation bus, probably due to track maintenance, half the way so we got home a lot later than expected. It was a bit too far away from London if you want to spend the days there. Over all a good hotel that gives you value for your money.

Didn't arrive until about 7pm and expected the car park to be full, having read other reviews, but plenty of space even though the place was really busy. Great staff, very friendly all round. My room was spacious, nicely furnished, with a decent sized bathroom with a shower. All very clean and in good decorative order. Couldn't fault. The carvery was fantastic value - no wonder it was so busy. Next morning had a decent "all you can eat" type breakfast served by another lovely member of staff (think it was the boss). All in all a great place to stay if you need to be in this part of the world and hard to beat value for money-wise.

Room tip: Room 7 was nice - on the ground floor.

Opposite Eden Park rail with trains to London about every 15 mins, bus stop outside with good local services, a few shops etc next door. The car park does seem to get full around four/five o'clock but as we arrived at lunch time we had no problems getting a space.

Reception was a bit odd, nothing actually wrong, but the youg guy seemed to be trying to do two jobs at the same time so you didn't get his full attention. Even so we managed to check in well over an hour early so no real complaints.

The room was fine, clean and everything you need for a short stay. It's not the Ritz but for the price paid the hotel is exceptional value for money.

Stayed this weekend due to working nearby. Check in was easy and once you had got through the busy restaurant I found that the room was good. I have used Innkeepers lodges elsewhere in the country and usually the food is good. I was shown to a table and then told to queue up for a carvery. After waiting about 15th in line and nobody serving I asked a waitress if there was a problem. She went into the kitchen shouted a few choice words and out came a young man to serve.
eventually i was served and the food was terrible and i will not be going back there for a meal again.

Overall the room was nice but the food was s*!^.

Room tip: eat elsewhere.
