“Lovely B n B in a beautiful location”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 May 2013

Only got to stay one night at this lovely place which is a real shame as I did not get to enjoy all the facilities such as the lovely garden and views.
Would highly recommend this place it has everything you could want and more, even chocs and sherry in room.
I was made to feel very welcome by Simon after a very long journey, the breakfast was lovely with home made jams etc.
Definitely one to book if you are in the area.

We only stayed here for one night and it was flying visit - we will definately be back to enjoy Hononton Cottage when we aren't in such a rush. Simon was very welcoming, helpful and attentive without being in your face - he even gave us a lift to a local pub after we enquired about taxis! The communal rooms, the breakfast, our room and all the little finishing touches in the bedroom were wonderful. Excellent B&B, absolutely no complaints from us.

So glad you enjoyed your brief stay - your comments make our 'job' so much more rewarding.

Look forward to seeing you again when perhaps you will have time to explore our lovely county of Kent where there is so much to see.

We've just spent two nights at Hononton Cottage, staying in the Willow Pit room on the ground floor. The house is gorgeous - very old, with exposed beams and full of character. The room was very spacious with a sofa, a kingsized bed, plenty of storage and tasteful, sophisticated, neutral decor. The room was warm without being stuffy, and the bed was extremely comfortable.

The breakfast room is also lovely. Simon, the owner of the property, had lit the log burning stove by the table for breakfast each morning as the weather was cold and the room was very cosy. Breakfast was absolutely excellent with fresh fruit and a selection of cereal, as well as toast with nice bread and home made jam, and a choice of a full English cooked breakfast, or smoked salmon and scrambled eggs, or croissants.

Simon couldn't have been more helpful and was a very good host.

All in all, one of the best bed and breakfast experiences we've had in a long time. Bravo.

After a busy day of meetings, Hononton Cottage was a fantastic place to come and relax. The rooms had everything one could need and breakfast was perfect. Simon and Maggie made both of us extremely welcome and we'd heartily recommend Hononton Cottage to anyone.

We had another wonderful stay with Simon and Maggie in October of this year. The first visit was six years ago and I thought it was special then. We had the room with the private entrance as before and it was extremely comfortable, spotless and the bathroom amenities were amazing. I just loved the soap, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, etc. The towels were luxurious and the sheets were really top drawer. Attention to detail was second to none and the breakfast was delicious - all the things we love. Lots of fresh fruit, yoghurt, muesli, honey, juice, delicious toast and yummy homemade jam/marmalade which you can also purchase. We bought some back to Bermuda and it travelled very well. If you want a cooked breakfast that is available too.

I work in the hospitality business so know how much effort goes into taking care of people and Simon and Maggie do just that! They are helpful, charming and can't do enough for you.

Excellent value. We will be back again and hopefully can stay more than our normal two days as we visit friends whilst there. I would love to stay for four or five days - it is heaven.

Room Tip: We liked having the private access as we came in a little bit later after visiting friends.

I couldn't fault this excellent BnB - everything one could want, generous hosts and a great breakfast. Comfortable clean room and wifi access, Oh - only one thing I would change - more power to the shower - but that's just nit picking!

I stayed for 2 nights and had a wonderful and relaxing break. Nothing was too much trouble for the hosts, Simon and Maggie who were welcoming and very helpful. The cottage is old and charming and very well equipped with everything I needed and more. There are walks through apple orchards and woods from the door, clear skies at night. Excellent breakfasts too.
