Always give Barry a ring on the phone, and he always sorts me out with a room , even at short notice., Service is great , Food is great , Bar can get noisy , but its all atmosphere.
I work a lot in the local area , so its very convenient , would not think of going anywhere else.. Fred@Marlow

Room Tip: all rooms are of good quality, but some do not have a shower , just a bath...

I have recently stayed in this hotel for 2 nights and would happily recommend it.

I had a large room on the top floor of the coach house. The room was very clean and the bed confortable. The only gripe that I could have is that there is carpet on the floor of the bathroom and I would have preferred to see vinyl sheet, but that's possible just me. My did not have a fixed shower but the chance of relaxing in a hot bath made a nice change.

Food is served either in the bar or the restaurant and it is of high quality and reasonably priced. The beers are also very good, as is the house wine. The bar areas could be helped by having some more comfier seats.

Breakfast is served in the restaurant and the full breakfast is highlty recommended.

One other thing that impressed me was that I left my toothbrush charger in the room, e-mailed them when I got home and it was returned by first class post. Great service.

I will definately be staying there again when I am working in the area.

Room Tip: If you prefer a shower, request it when booking.

Four of us met for dinner in the restaurant - the food was excellent, the ambiance that of a much more expensive place. Service was friendly and efficient. Two courses, wine and coffee came to £25 per head. Recommended.

freindly staff, good food and old world rooms.Do mind your head with the low beams in some of the rooms.Steep stairs could be a problem for less mobile folk. Our bed was a bit too hard for us but room was charming

Room Tip: access could be difficult for less mobile visitors.Lovely cosy bars and great restaurant

Charming and mildly eccentric hostelry. GPS useful to navigate from various sleeping solutions around the town to the bars and eating areas of the pub. Friendly and helpful staff and nothing too much trouble.

We stayed in september. The room was very clean, food good, the building is delightful and the village of Mundfrord beautiful. All of this qualifies for very good score, this hotel deserves the excellent score i have given it for its staff. I have worked in catering over 20 years, I have also travelled but I have never found such warmth or care. When I had computer trouble, the bar staff fixed it. The friend I was with became ill, nothing to do with the food! He has epilepsy, several seizures reduced the room to a mess. When we returned from the hospital the room had been cleaned, blood removed, there was no extra charge for the mess, The cleaner refused the tip we tried to give her. All the staff expressed concern. it was a heart warming experience to find people who still care.
