Would stay at Medina again when in Canberra. Found it offered all the required facilities and comfortable, clean rooms. Kingston has a lot of similar places and we have tried a few, but we found the Medina better than most.
- Free Wifi
Great location. Close to the center of Canberra and very close to some very nice restaurants. The room was modern and clean with a comfy king size bed. The kitchen was fully equipped with most mod cons.
The apartments are 10mins from the city centre but they are in a lovely suburb filled with great cafes and restaurants and the new foreshore area within walking distance.
Great choice for families. Good value and very clean and spacious. Also free car parking is excellent.
EXTREMELY noisy air con which made me cough every time it was on. Clean otherwise. Good location. Depressingly dated bathroom. Friendly service. If you have kids, note that depending on what room you get, you may need to make several inconvenient trips to the car and back going down various sets of steps and using a very slow lift to settle into your room. The place did the trick of putting a roof over our head for three nights, but we will definitely try a different place next time…there are so many others which are bound to be a bit more updated and with an air con which isn't like a jet engine.
This was the 2nd time we stayed at Medina in Kingston and we like the location - eateries in both directions and all within walking distance. We also find it close to all the main attractions of Canberra
My family of four adults were on travel from from Sydney and the Blue Mtns on 1 JAN 2014. I used lastminute.com and found this property in Canberra. We arrived later in the afternoon. The check in was easy and we found the apartment to be clean and tidy. There is in the room laundry facilities which is very nice for a family on travel. I was a bit disappointed in moving bags to the room from the parking garage as there were numerous small steps along the way. The well-suited luggage cart handled the steps qute well. The WiFi service was excellent. The property is in a very good location to the museums and amenities of Canberra. We ate dinner at the Kingston Hotel, which was about a one minute walk from the apartment. For less than $140 we had a nice apartment that had good sized beds for all four of us. I recommend it and would stay there again.
