Clean and tidy hotel in central location . Beautiful views of the lake,Telstra tower and the parliament from the room. Nice breakfast . Rooms are not very spacious but they are really good. This will be my choice of stay if I have another trip to Canberra .

Stayed a night at the QT Canberra, but I wished I had stayed a bit longer. I thought the facade of the building was quite a great contrast with the very stylish interior, and everything in the room felt like a collectible - the mugs, writing pad, umbrella(!), etc. - and they do have most of them for sale as well. One of the best things was probably to wake up to an amazing view of Mount Ainslie at sunrise. Also, food was great at the hotel for both breakfast and dinner. Barbecued free range bacon was definitely a highlight of the breakfast for me, in addition to an amazing spread of food.

I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Probably a room that faces east would be good.

Where do i start?

My partner and i decided to do something special for our anniversary and after seeing the new QT hotel pop up we decided to give it a go.

The check in was simple and smooth, the staff were friendly and provided us with great information about the hotel facilities. The only downfall i would say is that the hotel doesn't have a pool or a proper gym.

I had stated in my booking that it was an anniversary and had requested a nice room. As we entered the room to our suprise we were greeted with complimantary champagne and chocolates! (This gift, apart from making me look like the best partner in the world was actually the perfect compliment to our special occasion)

The style throughout the hotel is one of a kind! The rooms and the artworks around the hotel are worth checking out. If you are from Canberra like myself i would recommend stopping by and checking our the speak easy bar as it is simply stunning.

10/10 service
10/10 style
10/10 atmosphere

100% recommend any travellers to check it out.

Room Tip: The city view is better at night time as apposed to the lake view.

Stay one night at QT Canberra and the room's air con was unbelievably noisy - not possible to sleep with it on even though it was 2 degrees outside. The ac unit shuddered and shook and made a terrible noise until I turned it off and then was cold.

Chose QT when it was still Rydges, as we were attending a function there on the Sat night. At first appearance thought it would be too 'trendy' for us (past middle aged and quite boring!) but it was a fun and convenient place to stay. The bed was comfortable, the view over the lake fabulous, balcony nice, and the bathroom update modern. A little gripe re cleaning of shower floor tiles in bathroom and the noise of the elevators ensures that next time we will ask for a room away from the lift shaft. However, the staff were helpful, polite (and gave us a late check out without any issue) and we had a lovely weekend at a reasonable cost. The bar area is pleasant and the political theme throughout foyer is relevant and amusing. Would stay again. Car park $12 per night. Plenty of outdoor parking across the road if you are worried about tight spaces or cost.

Room Tip: We asked for a lake view on a high floor and were pleased with choice, although next time will ask f...

I stayed at the QT for three nights on business in April. Firstly I was not advised of the name change as all confirmations were still under Rydges and there is no other signage at the front of the building other than the 2 letters QT. It took a couple of laps of London Crct to find this, would suggest you place the number at the front of building and a sign noting reception before the door. The recent makeover is politically and quite trendy and fun. The room was spacious and interesting with a balcony looking out over the city, appreciated the fresh air. The bathroom was compact and practical, I liked the hairdryer bag. The bar fridge was too full and there was no room to put own drink or a bit of food. The bottom sheet on the bed was too small and did not tuck in resulting in a shifting and rumpled base to sleep on. I am a short haired brunette and found quite a lot of long blonde strands of hair on the carpet, which did not give me confidence in the cleaning regime. The breakfast and dinner downstairs in the Bar and Grill was excellent as was the room service meal that I ordered and received within 15 minutes. The staff were very polite and professional. Overall, the QT is conveniently positioned near the city and close to lakeside, is well presented and has some great features.

Room Tip: Facing London Circuit you get a balcony facing the city

QT is a re-branded and radically upgraded hotel in the centre of Canberra. The design -with a political theme throughout-in the public areas, restaurant and bars and the features in the guest rooms make this hotel unique.

Diverse and appealing menus are offered and the bar areas are inviting with high standards of service and selections.

There is even a hidden Speak Easy accessed through a barber shop!

I can highly recommend this hotel that is offering something quite different from the stock standard products that are usually on offer. There is also a strong influence here often found in New York and Chicago venues.

Room Tip: Either side of the hotel-it is basically a 15 storey tower - have excellent views and are quiet.
