“Belle of the Ball”
Reviewed 29 November 2013

Not only is the War Memorial a wonderful australian monument, but a fantastic venue for private events. Griffin Hall from ANU held their ball there this year and it was so beautiful to dine amongst the aircraft and submarines - humbling and elegant but also an extremely fun evening!

“Most likely the No 1 Attraction in Canberra”
Reviewed 28 November 2013

The Australian war memorial is a place for tourists and locals alike. As displays are continually changed it is a place you can keep coming back to again and again and never be disappointed with what you see. It is extremely educational and very moving. Well worth a visit for a couple of hours or a day.

“Lots of people stay for days here”
Reviewed 27 November 2013

This is not just a memorial but a large museum of weapons, planes, tanks and thousands of items and displays. Do not miss the sound and light shows. Parking can be a problem but I believe there are free tourist busses from Civic and other tourism places

“Australian war memorial”
Reviewed 27 November 2013 via mobile

Wow what a place. Decided to go for an hour or two but spent four hours and could have stayed longer. Very professionally organised and operated. Free entry and free tour guides. If in Canberra you must visit the memorial and allow at least a half day

“Australian War Museum, Canberra”
Reviewed 27 November 2013

This is a marvelous War museum, but a number of tourist do not allow sufficient time to explore. One can spend a whole day or more here and it is free.
