Thank you for taking the time to write about your expereince at Breakfree Capital Tower in Canberra. We are very happy that we were able to assist in providing you with a memorable holiday and look forward to welcoming you back soon.
We visit Canberra four times a year and this is our preferred place to stay. We always select a lake-side room - the views are spectacular. The apartments are adequately roomy and equipped. The beds are firm and comfortable. The location is very good - a ten/fifteen minute walk into Civic. There is free secure parking. Canberra can be a very expensive place to stay, so while the prices may seem high, the location and local facilities make it worthwhile. The apartment block is now around 20 years old, so not spanking-new, but is always clean and well-presented. There are tennis courts - we have never had trouble booking one - and a small but adequate gym.
Our family of four stayed here for one night at the end of a ski trip. The 2 bedroom apartment was spacious with standard furniture, had fairly new carpet but still felt tired(something which seems standard with Mantra). The location was handy and our lakeside apartment had a great view to parliament house. Also the showers could do with a good scrub!!! (another Mantra feature).
Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback on your recent stay. I am so sorry that you were disappointed with some aspects during your stay. In regards to the cleanliness of the bathroom, this issue has been raised with the department manager and this has been addressed, and additional training implemeted accordingly. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back to Breakfree Capital Tower soon.
Eighteenth floor two bedroom apartment with views over the lake from every room plus three separate balconies. The apartment was very clean and included small laundry and two bathrooms. The views could also be enjoyed from the kitchen. Very comfortable beds made our stay execptional.
Ok, so the location a 15min walk from the town centre and nice views of parliament are fine - but threadbare carpets, grubby marks on walls, mouldy showers and stains on couches are not acceptable for the business traveller. At $215 a night for a two bedroom apartment, what we received was disgusting. Add to this a terrible layout and a shower that would only fit a pygmie we decided that walking the streets of Canberra in -2c was preferable to staying in our hotel room for the evening.
Had a great week here - very spacious three bedroom apartment ... serviced every day. Reception staff very friendly, thanks heaps. Great cafe across the road next to the pot bellied statue man - best Mocha in town. Walking distance to CBD and the convention centre. Will stay here again when revisiting Canberra
