We were down for Floriarde and stayed in a three bedroom apartment. Upside, location which is central to Kinston and Manuka, Apple IPTV system, it was clean and met our basic needs. Things to look out for, the air conditioning in the living area did not work, had to park on the street as the place was full, old mattresses on the single beds, creaky floorboards on the upper level bedrooms, and noisy plumbing in the shower adjacent to the lounge room.

The apartment was plain but clean, and the shower good and beds comfortable. But there were two problems - one group of guest arrived back from clubbing at 3.30 am and made a racket out on their balcony for the next hour. The design of the apartments (around an open couryard), means that any noise can't escape. It was like being trying to sleep inside an echo chamber. They need a resident caretaker to get up and tell guests like this to be quiet.
The other problem was that when I turned on the TV, it turned out to be an Apple TV. It informed me I could watch 100MB for free and then I would be charged $5 per 100MB. Obviously most people (including me) don't know how quickly a TV will use 100MB, so by accepting these terms, I felt like I was signing a blank check. There was supposed to be more instructions in the desk drawer, but it was empty. The result of this was we couldn't watch the TV at all!

Stopped here for a night on way from Sydney to snow. All good. Was a wotif secret hotel special. Not much else to report. Room was a little noisy if you are sensitive to that. Word word word. It is not possible to write 200 words on this place.

Good location well presented. Only issue was noisy plumbing and thin walls. Still a very good place to stay.
Spacious rooms and good size kiving areas. There was 7 of us in the apartment abd we did not need to trip over each other. Good size kitchen with all the necessary items.

We stayed in a 4 bedroom apartment (2 families with 2 kids each) on a cold winter weekend. The apartments are spacious enough and the beds are comfortable but the place needs some work. First, they need to fix their hot water system. Two evening showers and the hot water was all gone - certainly not enough for an apartment that sleeps eight. Next, a few more heaters would be nice for cold winter nights, the temperature dropped to 34F and even with the heater set to max it was freezing in there. Finally, if someone would take the trouble to walk through the apartment and replace non-workiing light bulbs, that would be great! We had several that had conked out. Bottom line, I guess you get what you pay for!

We had 3 bedroom apartment to house ourselves and two other couples. Secure parking was a plus, but carrying things up the very steep stairs was not good. The apartments are old and needing some attention, the heater in the wall took a long time to heat the area but it finally became comfortable. The cleaning staff do not clean well as a lot of crockery and pots and pans were not up to standard. However, this is also up to the people who stay there, to clean properly after they use them. Very limited kitchen equipment, if intending to cook meals, suggest taking your own utensils. The main bedroom downstairs had a walk in robe and large bathroom with spa, but very high step into it, and sharp edge on the glass door, my husband caught his toe as he got out, and cut himself. The towel rail kept falling off as did the shower tap.
In saying these things, it worked well for us as it is walking distance to shops and eateries, a supermarket and football stadium also very close. Just needs a bit of care and maintenance to bring it up to standard. Definitely NOT four stars
