Me & my wife ordered Dosa, which was served with 2 types of chutney and sambhar.
Funny part is that sambhar was served like chutney(very less quantity). I mentioned the lady there that this much of sambhar is too less for dosa and her reply was "IT IS ANOUGH FOR NORMAL PEOPLE, HOWEWER I CAN SERVE YOU SOME MORE SAMBHAR". It seems that she blamed us as over eater.....
It is more like a take away type, they will bring the food to your table and if you need any thing...call & keep on waiting..
Please be careful if you don't want be treated bad...

The staff seems little interested in you...your order or your views..."indian" culture is suppossedly welcoming guest but at Ruchis i reckon they dont want people to come as if they are forced to work there...wldnt try again just for the customer service ...go for flavours of india...good food...treated beautifully...

The setting is stylish and modern. South Indian food includes the use of rice and lentils, and has distinctive flavours. A particular feature of the menu is a large range of dosais (crepes made from rice and lentils) with a range of different fillings. I really liked the spicy potato filling. Another interesting and unusual dish is eggplant cooked in rich gravy of peanuts, coconut and sesame. I would go back again.

The family usually choose to eat at Ruchis in Belconnen when it comes to a night out - a birthday, a celebration or a "what the heck!". We've been eating here a couple of time a year for several years. We can get a mix of dishes that cater for those of us who like the food mild and those who prefer it spicy. Particularly like their malai kofta and vegetable kootu. Food quality has always been very good and the staff very friendly.
Most recent experience was no different - good food, good service, modest price.

Canberra lacks great Indian restaurants but this is really an exception. Delicious dosai (Indian pancakes) and super breads and curries. Only problem is the location! I've eaten here many times and never had a bad experience.
