“large resort”
Reviewed 21 July 2013

Our stay was only brief but it was long enough to know it was a bit over priced for the nights stay, excluding breakfast as well, I've paid a lot less and have got a lot more value.
The resort is very large, we were the furthest away from reception and restaurants being in car park number 5, (there is no parking at accommodations door so if its raining you'll get wet getting to your room). Kids found one of the pools which had a spa near it, this they really enjoyed and used a fair bit. (resort has 5 pools scattered around the grounds). Being close to the beach and having these pools/spas and maybe a different room category I'd return for a few nights stay.
The condition of our room was good although people who we were with had a 2 bedroom apartment and said it wasn't up to a good standard they have had on previous stays here.
Reception was friendly and pleasant. The grounds were lush and green.

Room Tip: Lots of families stay here so if you are wanting a sleep in maybe try and request a room/area that w...

Excellent long weekend holiday for our anniversary...

We had massages, beach time, great eating experiences.

Staff were friendly, especially great service in Finns in the Beach.

Came back very relaxed

Stayed here over the Easter break the location is a couple minutes drive north of town. Lovely wildlife at resort with many lizards. Beautiful close stroll to lovely beach. (Incredible sunrise), volleyball tennis and lovely outdoor pool/spa. We stayed in 2 bedroom villa large & spacious with kitchen, laundry, tv with foxtel & main suite had great spa bath! They had buffet breakfast option though we didn't have, we made our own breakfast. The rooms aren't serviced daily! Great for kids/families, they had easter egg hunt which was nice. They do have the option of spa treatment though ring in advance as it is a private business and not always @ resort location. Overall enjoyable stay & would return for another stay :)

I will start by saying I had read a heap of mixed reviews on this place prior to booking mainly directed at the poor upkeep of the units. My Husband and I had stayed here 17 years ago, so we weren't expecting something new when we returned with our kids (5,4yrs) for a 6 night getaway. I was however pleasantly surprised, our 2brm spa villa was great, big, very clean, quiet and private. My only gripe with the accommodation was the poor quality of the overused lounge, it was very flat, stained and shabby and I covered it with a blanket, so most of the adult TV viewing was done in the main bedroom. The villas are also located some distance from the car parking so expect a few trips with luggage and groceries. The reception staff were friendly and helpful, the resort facilities were fine, some areas like the indoor pool are tired and in need of TLC, but the kids still loved being there and it got them out of the sun. The Water-dragons area for the kids is fantastic although I thought the pools were a little chilly and the smaller kids could only stay in for a short time before the teeth chattering got to much. The waterside, spa and playground were also a hit. It was a short stroll to the beach and we spent many hours there building sand castles and finding crabs, it's a partly pebble beach, but much nicer down the southern end without the shore dumpers. We ate at the cafe and the beer battered chips were divine. The meals were reasonably priced as was the alcohol. We would return here and the resort had everything we needed and was centrally located to many of Coffs attractions.

Booked the 1 bedroom Spa Bure and was disappointed with the quality of the fit out. The room was sparsely decorated, tiled floors without one rug, sofa bed in lounge room was not to be sat in with 2 people and there is no other comfortable chair in the room. The rooms were dark and the lighting hopeless (not one lamp, only ceiling downlights with very low wattage). The bedroom had a good king bed (best part of the whole thing) and had descent halogen down lights above the bed head. The spa bathroom was large and light (lightest room in the house with it's glass atrium ceiling) and the spa bath was enormous. However, brown gunk came out of the jets when we used it! Genreally, there was a musty smell in the room. The breakfast was ok. Items ran out and no one seemed to notice until a guest told someone and not too keen on the grey scrambled eggs. The floor in the breakfast dining area should be ripped up and replaced. It's old and looks dreadful. I think someone thinks it looks rustic and charming... it's not.

Had two bed villa for 3 nights but decided to stay extra night as liked this resort very much. Well appointed villa with enormous jacuzzi bath. Breakfast was excellent everything you could want and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Dinner in the restaurant was fabulous, very different food food and good value for 52 dollars inc glass of wine.we also had pizza the following night which was also excellent and good value. The resort has two lovely pool but beware of the Water Dragons they are everywhere so if you don't like lizards stay away. The staff are particularly helpful and obliging. The beach is beautiful too but water was too rough to swim in as the cyclone had just been through

Room Tip: Stay away if you don't limelizards

The Aanuka beach bures were a fabulous choice. The resort is very secluded and you feel like you are on your own little island. The amenities are great and the service is very friendly. The scenery around the resort has a tropical feel.
