Forget your harbour cruises....get the ferry to Manly like a Sydneysider and be treated to the best views of the most beautiful harbour on the 90-minute round trip. Stop in slightly seedy beachside Manly for lunch for good measure. Great way to spend a morning or afternoon.

A great way to see much of Sydney's famous Harbour - catch the ferry from Circular Quay to Manly. You can buy a day pass for $22 (children half price) that allows you travel on any bus, train or ferry all day with the one ticket or you can buy a one-off ticket for around $15 return. Not advisable to take the ferry on a day when the water is rough though as you have to cross the Heads and it can get quite scary. Even a large swell can upset you if you're not a particularly good sailor. Plenty to see and do when you arrive. Highly recommended for all visitors to Sydney.

The ferry provides an excellent means of seeing and experiencing Sydney's beautiful harbour. The ferry goes from Circular Quay to Manly. At Manly take a short stroll to Manly Beach and the promenade. Take a walk to North Head for fabulous views of the harbour and city sky line.

A trip on the Manly ferry from Circular Quay in Sydney or vice versa is a fantastic way to see Sydney Harbour. It's cheap and takes around 45 minutes. For the adventurous the Ferry steams across the opening to the Tasman Sea or The heads of the north and south openings to the harbour. There are faster options to make the crossing on the water but the leisurely Manly Ferry is an old time Sydney favourite. Catch the ferry to Manly in the mid morning, have lunch in Manly stroll along the beach, paddle or go for a surf and return to the City by Ferry in the afternoon. A great day out for the whole family or for those by themselves. Plenty of friendly locals will help you - just ask.

A trip on the ferry from Circular Quay to Manly is one of the best ways o experience Sydney Harbour. Many of the harbour's iconic sights are best seen from the water, and the ferries are a low cost way to get there ($6, or nothing if you have a public transport Day Pass). You get a different perspective of the Opera House, The Rocks and the Harbour Bridge from the ferry. When you get to Many, you can stroll down the Corso (pedestrian mall) to Manly ocean beach for a swim, or stop at one of the many cafes and restaurants
