Is there a form of public transport anywhere in the world that comes with better views? Oh, and they're also very convenient...

“Sydney Ferries”
Reviewed 29 November 2013

Ther are three types of ferries - the Inner Harbour, the smallest which ply between the inner harbour suburbs to the Gladesville Bridge, the Manly Ferries which go between the Quay, Zoo and Manly, and the Rivercats which go to Parramatta and a number of destinations beyond Gladesville Bridge.Your destination will decide which ferry you will catch. If the weather is fine, its best to sit outside and enjoy the harbour views as the ferry moves between its destinations. All are wheelchair accessable. The Harbour is full of history, so a harbour cruise with commentary is a good idea for visitors. Ferries can be used to acccess harbour walks....some brochures are available at Manly Info Centre near the wharf.

“I love Sydney Ferries - an amazing way to commute!”
Reviewed 28 November 2013

You just have to love Sydney Ferries - what a great way to get around and commute. Sydney is one of the most beautiful cities that I know and there are few things that beat pulling out of Circular Quay in twilight and sailing round the Opera House.

You'll have the city, Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Opera House all in your view, and all for a ew dollars. One of my favourite things to do on a sunny day in Sydney is just to get on a random ferry and sit there watching the view on a full round trip.

“Great way to get around”
Reviewed 28 November 2013

We stay at Mantra within easy walk to Circular Quay so our preferred way of transport were the ferries. The service is really good and you get amazing views of the Harbour and all that it has to offer. A must do is ths trip to Manly but the one to Darling Harbour also offers spectacular views. Highly recommended.

“Circular Quay to Paramatta - A tour in itself”
Reviewed 27 November 2013

The ride to Paramatta takes about 1.5 hours and goes as far as you can go on the Paramatta River. You see island, birds, the Olympic Stadium and many sections of the city. Have lunch in Paramatta wander around and then take the train back to town in about 30 minutes. Great excursion for cheap price.
