We were staying just around the corner from this hotel. We ate here three nights running as it was soooooo good. Sit on the balcony and enjoy the parakeets ....but more importantly enjoy the food. The staff are lovely but the food......great!!

Room Tip: Sit on the balcony....sublime!

We recently visited Frisco Hotel on two occasions while staying in Woolloomooloo, Sydney. We sat out on the upstairs veranda which had old world charm and a real ambience about it. Lovely old historic hotel built in late 1800's. Staff are welcoming and friendly. Great choice of meals, ample portion sizes and extremely reasonable prices. We tried the seafood linguine house special on the first day and it was simply perfect. Our daughter had the steak special. The second time my husband ordered the steak special and I ordered the chicken, leek and mushroom pie. Our daughter ordered the penne boscaiola. All meals were absolutely yum! At first glance, the pie however, looked like a challenge. It looked huge and a few people laughed and didn't think I would get through it. But it was sooo... good! Frisco Hotel is definitely not to be missed on a visit to Sydney.

a historic hotel and pub dating from the 1890's,
the Frisco Hotel should not be missed in any visit to Sydney.
Loacated near Wolloomooloo Bay, the pub features a great selection of draft beers and ales- especially Cooper's Ale, my new favorite thing from Australia.
Brilliant food in amole portions in the downstairs pub as well as a few gambling machines and
tons of atmosphere. nice basic rooms upstairs.

Room Tip: they're all different; on the smallish side, but this is a quaint little place that shouldn'...

Situated right between Kings Cross and the CBD this hotel has also a lot of charm with an old-school pub on the ground floor if you feel like having a beer or a meal. Some of the locals and the bar staff are very friendly.. Rooms are really basic but clean and tidy, would love more amenities though. But the location for the price you pay is very much worth it.. Will stay again for sure.

I stayed at the Frisco Hotel two years ago ( April 2010) and I liked it. Ok, this is a bar mostly offering accommodation but they offer decent Sydney prices @ 60 AUD a night, which was cheap two years ago when the euro bought over 1.75 AUD.....The room I had was 1 or 2, I cannot remember, but it had a king size bed and a TV. No Air Con at the time, no fridge or coffee-tea facilties....that's the major drawback since most hotels offer the latter. Anyway, the price is really good value if you are on a budget because if you can fork out 80 or 100 AUD a night, there are plenty other possibilities like the Travelodge, Macley Lodge or even the Ibis World sqare; Because of the high flying oz dollar, a trip downunder is extremely expensive for Europeans or Americans so watch out for specials....Last year I got a 6 nights' stay at the travelodge near Oxford street for 450AUD on [---------], , which is good value....The good part is there is an eaterie round the corner for breakfast....

Have stayed here many times over the last ? years and am almost considered a local. Agree with Edelweiss_9 wholeheartedly, the guys and gals couldn't be more friendly. If you are coming from Central Station, take the 311 bus which will drop you close, look for the petrol station or Harry's Cafe de Wheels and you'll know you're "home"! Going into town, use the 311 again. It will take you through the CBD but not all the way to Circular Quay. Again the walk through the Domain and on to the Opera House will give you your bearing.

Room Tip: No lift. Rooms are on the second floor, first floor has the restaurant. There are two family-size roo...

I have known the owners from another venue in the city and they are the best hosts in Sydney!Rob will help you with whatever he can, Jerome behind the bar is a star and so is his team.
The rooms come in different sizes, upstairs, bathrooms and showers are common. The bar downstairs is huge and good, the balcony upstairs and the restaurant are very classy and the menus are varied and incredibly well priced.
Use Museum station for the train, or walk through the Domain to Circular Quai. Parking is available nearby and the city in a walkable distance.
Enjoy your stay!
