“Would not recommend - Tiny portions & expensive!!”
Reviewed 11 July 2014

Would not recommend this place at all!!! Cute place however the food portions are tiny and so over priced its a joke! Seafood so over cooked and everything was oily. They even ripped us off with the cocktails - we asked for the advertised $10 happy hour cocktails - turns out the ones we chose were not $10 but they didnt point that out. The bill at the end of the night was ridiculous for what we had. They even gave us attitude for questioning the cost. They charge as if they had a high end restaurant. Would not recommend this place at all!!!

“Save your time, save your money.”
Reviewed 10 July 2014

My friend held a birthday for around 25 people. Constant communication with the restaurant in the lead up to the event lead us to believe everything was smoothly on track. Arrived to the restaurant on the night and that's where it all started falling apart.

Firstly, we were not able to pay for drinks as we went (as the bar was not able to cope with making drinks and accepting cash) and we were forced to have a tab for the table - which for 25 people, gets very hard to keep track of who drank what.

Secondly, we had booked a set menu $50pp), but had a few unidentified dietary requirements arise last minute. Any changes to the menu, would incur an additional $30pp. So if someone was vegetarian they had to pay the $50 (even though they couldn't half of the food) and then pay an additional $30 to get a few bites full of lettuce and lentils. Very much a rip off!

Thirdly, the food took over 2 hrs to bring out. Servings ridiculously small and everyone was starving for most of the night.

The attitude of the staff topped it all off. Very arrogant, self entitled and rude for most of the evening.

Come time to pay the bill, what do you know?, an additional gratuity fee being added on top as we were a group over 8 ppl. So guess what - all the drinks that were added to the tab were now charged the gratuity fee as well. Bravo Emmilou on managing to get a few more dollars out of us, over $200 to be more specific.

You can definitely not expect any of us to return to this restaurant and will very much be spreading the word for other friends to avoid.

“Great service and atmosphere, but the worst meal I had in Sydney”
Reviewed 28 June 2014

Cocktails and service were nice, but the dishes we had were mediocre to terrible. Zucchini flowers were okay, but heavy and greasy. Scallops were tiny and flavorless, not worth the high price tag. Barramundi with chickpeas tasted super fishy, and the calamari was extremely overcooked and chewy. Location and atmosphere were lovely, so we were really disappointed with what turned out to be the dining low point of this week in Sydney.

“Bookings mean nothing to these people”
Reviewed 13 June 2014 via mobile

Upon turning up to the restaurant at the booking time of 7:30 PM we were seated at a table. Shortly after the manager came over and told us that we would have to vacate the table as they had reallocated this table to some other customers. The manager claimed that he had attempted to call me sometime during the day. As he claims that he was unable to get in contact with me he decided to reallocate the table to another group of people. I found it appalling that he did this even after I had booked the table only the night before and received two confirmation emails from the restaurant confirming our booking. We promptly left the restaurant without dinning there. This is terrible customer service and I do not understand why he would cancel a booking that had been confirmed.

“Get the pork belly!”
Reviewed 5 June 2014 via mobile

Coolest little place. Good quality food .....but overpriced for the size of what you get. It's more cafe than fine dining. Pork belly was an exception. The best value is at the expensive end of the menu.

Unisex bathroom.

Customer service was outstanding and servers were extremely friendly.

Id go again but only with a discount voucher. Lucky there's plenty of those for this place around.
