Owner description: We would love to show you this sparkling harbour city from the engaging perspective of a small group guided bicycle tour. This is a fun, invigorating and memorable way to explore Sydney, away from vehicles with heaps of photo opportunities. "This was by far the best and most personal tour we did in Sydney, we loved having the freedom of a bicycle and a fun and educated tour guide. It was easy pedalling on excellent bikes, and we received cold spring water, a snack pack and best of all, a wonderful photo essay of our tour in our our inbox free of charge.

“Iconic views - fun tour”
Reviewed 7 July 2014

Bike Buffs is a great way to see the iconic landmarks of Sydney. We were here on our honeymoon (from LA) and this was the first thing we booked on our first full day in Sydney. The tour was just the two of us. Graeme was an accommodating and excellent host. He is quite the character. Very fun-loving, funny (in a sarcastic way), friendly, playful and strikes up a conversation with strangers.

Positives:
* Memorable pictures - Graeme was very adept in capturing the scenic shots of the iconic landmarks even when you least expect it.
* Company owned sturdy mountain bikes are provided
* Iconic landmark views (can't beat it) - Opera House, Harbour Bridge, etc.
* Off the beaten paths: Secret Garden.
* Great exercise (some uphills and some good down slopes). You cover a LOT of ground.

Tips:
* Some uphills that may test your endurance depending on your fitness condition. Not difficult.
* We lost Graeme twice. Found him twice. Keep up.
* Some pedestrian maneuvering required when riding in the financial district
* No need to bring a backpack. There is a front bike pouch bag for you.
* May get chilly in the afternoon (we were there late May)
* Bring sunglasses and drink plenty of water.
* Tour takes up almost the entire day.

“Graeme's a Hoot, the Sights are Beaut”
Reviewed 23 June 2014

There's no better way to capture the essence of the city than by bike, you can cover a lot more ground than walking and drift from section to section. We signed up for Graeme's Bike Buffs as part of our 3-day stay in Sydney, and it was one of the highlights of our trip. We traveled over the harbour bridge to find beautiful views of the opera house, rode along wharfs to his favorite pizza spot, visited 'secret' gardens and chocolate shops, and just had a great ride. Graeme's an easy going gent who loves to have fun, is playful with the kids, knows a lot about the city and has an adventurous spirit. No better way to start a tour of Sydney.

Dear Lanedomain,
Exactly. You use all your senses on a bike and you cover five times the ground, get some good cardio, are able to eat heartily , and get a great sleep .
Glad we delivered on that.
With best wishes

“Fun and memorable way to see Sydney highights”
Reviewed 22 June 2014 via mobile

I convinced my wife to take this tour with me even if she was not a very confident cyclist. Our guide Graeme was quite accommodating and flexible. He adjusted the tour to consider the capabilities of the group.

We started at the Garrison church where Graeme gave a bit of history of Sydney. We then crossed the harbor bridge for photo ops. He didn't just take snaps but made us do creative and fun action poses. We visited a secret garden that most tourists would not discover on their own.

Instead of riding back across the bridge, we took the ferry to Circular Quay since my wife found the climb to the bridge to be a challenge. We then rode through the Rocks and to a nice Italian restaurant for lunch. We then rode through Darling harbour, Hyde park and the Botanical garden. We then circled back to the Rocks where we started.

All throughout, Graeme injected his wacky sense of humor into the tour, poking fun at his countrymen as "descendants of convicts". The pictures he took of us were the most memorable of our trip, including our "hot and sexy" pose. Graeme was truly friendly and struck up conversations with strangers at many points of the tour.

Overall an excellent and fun experience, even for those that are not very proficient cyclists.

Dear Dindo,
Excellent. Yes your wife was as nervous as a Gypsy with a Mortgage to begin with, but she was as good as gold, completed the tour without any drama, and it was a blast to have you along. We didn't have to photoshop your 'hot and sexy' pose .... You were smokin... !

“Outstanding day, great fun and fantastic way to see Sydney.”
Reviewed 17 June 2014

A full day on the bike seeing all the main attractions of Sydney City as well as a whole host of secret places that only a local would know.

Graeme (the guide) was a very quirky and eccentric character that knew his city well and made the day extremely enjoyable.

Snacks and water were provided as well as photos from our day - sent free the day after our ride.

Can't recommend this one enough, a great way to see the sights in the open air - and get a bit of much needed exercise whilst on holiday!

“A "BikeBuffs" bike tour is a great way to see Sydney”
Reviewed 17 June 2014

My wife Diane and I joined Graeme Dodd for a guided trip around Sydney with our 23 year old son Ryan who has Down Syndrome on Sunday. It was an awesome way to experience the city using all our senses. Graeme was great to deal with and was very responsive via email as we organised the trip to cater for our needs including organising a tandem for my son and 81 year old mother who ended up not doing the trip due to us doing to much walking prior to taking to the bikes. The route is great the local knowledge is also interesting and the numerous stops for photos, food and drink etc. were great. The many pictures taken were also great to get by email on our return back to NZ.
