“Worst service ever”
Reviewed 20 March 2014 via mobile

Th eggs Benedict was bland when it finally arrived, after the whole party had not only been served but had finished. Six other serves of eggs Benedict were served in the meantime.
The restaurant was dirty hot and customer comfort is not a high priority.
When we called for the manager we received a per functionary sorry.
We would not recommend this "trendy little bakery" as we had been.

“Takeaway only!”
Reviewed 26 January 2014

We were staying in an apartment nearby, and decided to get takeaway croissants for breakfast. They were fresh, warm and delicious.

The next morning, we decided to have a light breakfast there. Firstly, we waited for a table to be cleared, and waited, and waited. Finally we sat down at a table piled high with discarded plates. In fact, half the tables were empty, but all were piled high with used crockery.

There is a very obvious staffing problem here.

You order and pay at the counter, take a number, and wait for delivery. We waited for FORTY minutes for utterly appalling coffee ($5 for a soy latte and $4.40 for a skim flat white), and passable butter croissants ($3.40 each).

Never again - takeaway only!

“Great Food and Coffee”
Reviewed 12 November 2013

Each time we visit Sydney, we make sure we have breakfast or lunch here.
It is a french themed sidewalk cafe open 24 hrs. They are very accommodating and you can really order whatever you want.
My husband ordered a bacon & egg baguette and I had a mushroom & cheese omelette. Very generous serves and perfectly cooked. The coffee was quite strong but a lovely flavour.
There is also a huge variety of fresh ingredients (chicken, ham, cheese, tomato, lettuce, carrot etc.) on display for you to choose from for take away rolls etc.
This is a great find for those of us who don't like the chain food outlets and prefer to eat real food.
De La France is in George Street not far from World Square, a fair walk from uptown but close to Chinatown too.

“GOOD”
Reviewed 2 August 2013 via mobile

Been here 3 times this week... And they got my order wrong twice... The staff taking the order don't seem to pay attention to what you're saying... Other than that the food is good and coffee is good too...

“Big breakfast satisfies”
Reviewed 28 July 2013 via mobile

Dropped in for breakfast today and was pleasantly surprised. The big breakfast had eggs, bacon, mushrooms, onion, potato, and a delicious crispy baguette.

Reasonably priced at $13 with a mug of coffee at $3.

Will come back!
