We were booked in with several other parties for our daughters wedding. We had a lovely stay, there were a few things that could be improved: On checking in we were not told how to operate the lifts using our room cards, other guests advised us, we were also not advised that we could only visit the floor we were staying on, but we had relatives on other floors which we could not get to. On the hole we had good stay, the restaurant was basic and there if really needed, but there is a realy good bistro over the road.

Public areas are up to date but rooms are not. Also had an issue that management was not all that helpful about -- rather than finding a work around, the answer was "it's the rule". Could not recommend highly and I would not book clients here.

Admittedly, I'm a very light and poor sleeper, but this was ridiculous! Top floor, large room, end of hallway - you'd think that would be my best choice right? Wrong! It was windy and the sounds from the roof went from what I thought was about 20 mice in the rafters to sounding like a train was running over the top of us. Add to that the endless sirens, the bus station literally across the road (with blaring horns at all hours) and a bed that wobbled when either one of us turned over and even an average night's sleep was out of the question. Also had no choice other than stairs to get to the room and my husband had recently had a knee op (very painful). We asked to be moved to the back (quieter) and this was arranged (and no roof noise, but still all the rest), but the toilet leaked and did not flush in that room (which was reported to maintenance, but not fixed). No discount or apology offered for anything. Only positive I can say was the cafe is reasonably priced and food ok.

Very ordinary indeed, nowhere near 4 stars. The wifi is hopeless - bad enough that they charge $12/day - which in itself is outrageous - but you can only connect on device. WHICH CENTURY ARE YOU MUPPETS LIVING IN ANYWAY? And the PCs/wifi aren't even free in the foyer - you have put a coin in the slot!!!!! $2 for 20 minutes.

And the parking is not $30/day - as they claim on the website - it's a max of $30 each time you exit the carpark. So if you're going in and out the parking can end up costing you more than the hotel room. BEWARE.

Very poor wi-fi availability. There is a 12 dollar charge for 1 hour's use in your room, and 1/2 hour free per day in the foyer. But this is only for 1 device per room and there were 4 of us, including teenagers! This made skyping impossible - your time is gone in minutes and teenagers often want this facility, plus it was not private in the foyer. Obviously we sought out Local cafés with free wi-fi. 'Marsil' in Meriton Tower near Starbucks on George street was great and had delicious fresh juices and food, plus free wi-fi!

Room not available on arrival from uk,had to wait 1hour untill it was made available .room ok, well used but clean.In room bar tarrif expensive particularly bottled water.Public gf bar with meals usefull, breakfast room good.No car parking at hotel but multi storey across road, expensive +not easy to access first time,probably best not to have car if staying here.Location cost are main advantages, ideal for access to buses and rail.Within 40mins walking distance of harbour/ferries/opera house.Would stay again probably on basis of cost

Our criteria for a hotel in Sydney for our weekend were: sleeps a family of four, close to city attractions, easy access to public transport and affordable (in Sydney terms). Vibe delivered on all of these, and we would stay here again (although 2 adults and 2 young children in the same room means we would look elsewhere if longer than a weekend stay).

Positives: location (close to Museum Station, Hyde Park, shopping centre), clean, nice roof top pool, on site restaurant/cafe, 11am checkout
Negatives: Nothing major - wifi and movies were both very expensive
