My partner and I loved here for a month when we moved to Sydney. The service was great, I even had someone help with my 6 suitcases which I was not expecting. We were only booking nights 3 at a time and they made sure we never had to move rooms. On one occasion I accidentally booked twice and they refunded me quickly. The room was nice and the bathroom very clean. There was a good selection of television channels and someone was in to give our room a thorough clean every day. The room was actually very large which meant we could keep all of our belongings in there and quite happily 'live' in this room. You have to pay for internet access and some of the higher floors don't get good reception. It was rarely noisy and there is lift access.

Despite being near Kings Cross the location is good, you can walk to the city and there is a Woolworths opposite as well as lots of good cheap places to get takeaway food.

I've stayed here many times and it's my fall back option in Sydney if I can't get a good deal elsewhere. The hotel is dated (including the recently renovated rooms!) but staff are friendly and the location is great being a short walk from Kings Cross and Woolloomooloo. It's not grand hence some of the poor reviews but it does the job and it's great value for Sydney as you can always find good deals, including on weekends. Don't take breakfast at the hotel as it's not great but there are loads of nice cafes around Potts Point

Located in worst Prostitution and gangster area of King Cross.

Low quality Mattress which cause us to suffer in backpain and it destroy our holiday mood.

Wood is floor and not a concrete, Too noisy when we walk and dangerous if fire started.

Maybe low quality detergent used because 5 days sleep makes all my body itchy. I never had any skin disease but after wake up my whole body itchy. Even my wife suffered same backpain and itchy.

My lifetime mistake.

Upon arrival, staff were friendly. Our heater wasn't working, was sorted out immediately ( on/off buttons on the nightstand for TV light and heater). Definitely staying somewhere else next time though . Our room backed onto a laneway.. Lots of honking ( constant fifteen minutes of it on Saturday night ) and the skips get emptied EVERY MORNING at 5am, not great for a light sleeper. The bed is too soft.. Not a big deal for a couple if nights, but after 5 nights our backs were sore.

Great for the price, but too noisy for our liking.

We stayed here for 2 nights, the power went out on our first night (from 11pm-3am) the rooms are pokie, the wash basin sits right over the toilet, the shower pressure was a drizzle and the Water temperature was impossible to control.

Once again,we stayed here, overnight in sydney, great seniors rate of 99.00,including breakfast. We appreciated we were able to get in room by 9am after travelling by train overnight from melbourne.
The stairs are a hassle but the friendly staff helped with our cases, great thereis a woolworths over the road sells all kind of food etc,A bus leaves from out the front going one way back to central station and the other way to circular quay.
We also appreciated the advice we were givento purchase the pension all day ticket for 2.50 each and we could use this ticket to go on any bus light rail or ferry, but not to airport.
Once again the staff were friendly, upgraded our room so we could see the water and nothing was to much trouble,This hotel is like us old and tired, but clean and a great price, andposition for budget travellers, once again Devere staff thank you

Room Tip: H igher floor with water view

Undoubtedly, the location is the best you can say about this hotel: just few minute walk from great Elisabeth Bay, Elisabeth Bay House and King’s Cross area. The structure is rather average, but not expensive. Some rooms are very dark. Breakfast is ok.
