“Awesome Experience”
Reviewed 7 December 2011

We just spent 7 wonderful days in Sydney and stayed at the Four Seasons Hotel. It is right in the Rocks district and accessible to Sydney proper by public transportation and taxi. The hotel is beautifully decorated and the staff were very responsive and helpful. We asked one of the Concierge staff for dinner recommendations and he came up with three out of three, each one unique in its own right. We had a beautiful room that overlooked the harbor, the bridge and Opera House. The bathrooms were huge and offered a separate shower with ample water pressure. The towels were plush as was the bathrobes that we were ours to use for our stay. The personal amenities offered were top notch. All in all, the experience was perfect and we are looking forward to returning next year. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants a first class experience in Sydney.

Room Tip: Any room would be awesome but if you want a unique experience, ask for a room overlooking the harbor...

Stayed here while seeing Eminem in concert. Got a room with a view of the Harbour Bridge and Opera House which was outstanding. Service was great and the location is fantastic right next to Circular Quay and The Rocks. Lots of restaurants, cafes and night clubs within walking distance

The best things about this hotel are the views and the area. Make sure you get the junior suite (like 2715, 2815), not the presidential one. That has city view and is great but doesn't have the view of the harbour bridge/opera house. Great restaurants, shopping, circular quay, the rocks, opera house, all within walking distance. Internet is fast in the room. Great bathrooms and you can make the room completely dark if you have to survive a european jetlag and sleep during the day. Breakfast is amazing on the 2nd level. Love the lobbybar as well. Belldesk downstairs offered great help with restaurant reservations. Not a very modern design, but great if you're not after modern. It's hard to be disappointed by this hotel.

Room Tip: get the rooms with the harbour view (2715, 2815 etc)

Just recently had a weekend stay here. We had been hoping to book into the Hyatt until we realised it was undergoing major Reno but we were not disappointed at all with having to change our plans. The biggest factor for the four seasons is probably it's location, it is right beside circular quay and the rocks, minutes from Pitt St, the main shopping area and basically close to everything you could want in a city and if you are not well you have taxis, ferries and trains at your finger tips.
The lobby was nicely laid out and of course the big Christmas tree! Check in went smoothly and as we arrived early, they took our bags and we went to have lunch. The rooms are of a very high cleanliness standard, we had room 1501 which was city view, looking out onto the street obviously, the shower grout could do ith some refreshing as it was a bit mildewy but I am being picky on this as there was nothing else to fault. very Comfy bed, though both I am my husband found the pillows to high/hard. I had some beautiful treatments at the spa, facial, body brush and hot stone massage, it came as a signature package and reasonably priced, spa is lovely and very professional staff, elegant spa lobby and lovely staff. My husband used both gym and pool and thought both were excellent. We did not eat in the hotel as we were meeting friends throughout the weekend so cannot comment on food/service. Though coffee in the lobby was great. Internet connection is $25 per 24hr and car parking is $55 per day. The rooms are not massive, rather average sized really, and I hoped for a bit of a wow factor if not with the room than perhaps with the view, but it was comfortable, very clean and in a fantastic location. I did have to go to the spa on the 3rd floor in the dressing gown provided in the room, but slippers were not provided though I was given them at the spa to use, it would have been better to have these in the room or have them sent to the room with the gentle reminder received from the spa the night before the treatments. I would definitely go back but would look for a better rate or better room or better view!!!

Excellent location, close to Circular Quay & The Rocks. Bed comfort was exceptional. We had amazing views of the Opera House & Harbour Bridge. Room was not ready when we arrived, that was the only down side. However, they gave us a complimentary drink while we waited.

The location is ideal. 2 minutes walk to circular quay and 5 minutes walk to main shopping streets, such as George St and Pitt St. The hotel itself is very nice with great service. I enjoyed returning to the hotel after a long day of shopping and sight-seeing every time.

Room Tip: the harbour view is very nice for a first time visitor to Sydney, or even Australia in general.

The service and quality cannot be faulted, I expected a bigger and more luxurious room for the rates, but had a fantastic stay nonetheless and the location for exploring Sydney is superb!
