“Great spot and fabulous views”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 July 2014

I spent 3 nights at The Four Seasons. The hotel is immaculate- a large foyer and mezzanine level with various places to lounge.
Service was very good. The room was larger than expected and had great views of the Opera House and Harbour Bridge.
We had dinner at the restaurant which was better than expected- delicious. I would say though, it didn't really accommodate diners who maybe want just a casual light bite.
Breakfast was good with plenty choice but unfortunately the hot food was not hot enough for my liking and the toast station induced the usual time consuming - having to put the bread through the toasting machine three times before it toasted.
There is a nice bar in the hotel with a good wine list which we visited.
The hotel is conveniently situated in The Rocks district which has lots of restaurants and cafés, it is along the road from circular quay and the Opera House and a 10/15 min walk upto Westfield shopping centre and all the major shops.

Room Tip: Ask for a harbour facing room to enjoy the views

I usually stay at another hotel when visiting on business. The staff at reception were excellent and picked up on this when I was checking in. When returning from my meal at the excellent lobby restaurant, there was a personal welcoming note from the GM and a tray of treats. I appreciate genuine service like this.

Room was large and spacious. Beds very comfortable and large bathroom with all the usual amenities.

Restaurant with its wood fired oven put out great food and the bar offered prompt unobtrusive service.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and I'm a convert now to the a Four Seasons as my choice of stay when in Sydney.

Great location with good views in any direction.
Very convenient for entry and exit from the city being very close to the Harbour Bridge.
Nice tidy rooms although the standard rooms are quite small, but all have a desk and chair etc
Soaps are good.

Room Tip: Harbour views are best but City views are OK. Harbour views costs more but not worth it in my opinio...

We celebrated our sixth wedding anniversary at the Four Seasons Sydney. Staying in town for a romantic night out on special occasion we thought to indulge ourselves in one of the best hotel in Sydney.

We were sure to notify the hotel that we were celebrating our anniversary (when you do this well in advance sometime you get a special treat). On this occasion the hotel sent my wife a red rose and upon check-in, they sent us a bottle of sparking wine.

We choose to stay at level 34 suite room with city view (cheaper option compared to harbor view) - which still had a great view overlooking the eastern part of Sydney. Being in level 34 has the advantage of having the club lounge access (more on that later).

The room was well furnished, and had a warm welcoming ambiance. Equipped with an ensuite bathroom and an additional toilet in the living area makes a great room for entertaining guests; but in our case, we were able to enjoy chocolate-dipped strawberries on the sofa without worrying to drip chocolates all over the bed.

Along with the standard minibar & a selection of tea bags, the suite room is also equipped with Vittoria Adesso expresso machine with complementary coffee pods. So if you are in a hurry but still need a shot of good coffee, you will not be left wanting!

Appelles apothecary supplies the amenities throughout the hotel. The willow bark body wash had an impressive feel and a great scent. The bathroom was very spacious, especially the shower, which had a good size shower seat.

The bed room was also spacious; the king bed was extremely comfortable, and I must say that all Four Seasons pillows have not once disappoint me (of course bed and pillows are for sale at the ease of a telephone call - lol)

We spent the early part of the evening at the club lounge - taking advantage of the canapés and drinks (open bar on Friday & Saturday nights). A bar tender is also available to make your cocktail of choice. The selection of hot or cold canapés & desert was amazing - a great spot to chill and enjoy the view of the harbor.

The next morning we again had breakfast at the club lounge, a chef was available to prep your eggs, and a selection of continental or full breakfast was available at your leisure.

Overall, we had an excellent wedding anniversary and the staff at the Four Seasons made a great contribution to making it a memorable visit.

Room Tip: Upgrade to club level rooms on level 31-34 for club lounge access, treat yourselves for a pre-dinner...

What can I say, they lived up to their reputation. We had booked a "partial bay view" and what a surprise when our partial view included a FULL view of the Sydney Opera House. The service was definitely what we had hoped for.
The staff at the concierge desk was helpful in many ways. They made last minute dinner and daytrip reservations for us and everything went exceedingly well.
The Grain Bar has some great Sydney Rock oysters. Delicious! Look for specials.
Thank-you to the Hotel for making our 25th wedding anniversary trip very special.

Room Tip: We were quite pleased with the "partial view" room.

Few words excite a traveler like "you have received a complimentary upgrade", unless that upgrade puts you in a room next to an elevator. Here is the good of the Four Seasons, location as it is convenient to almost everything in Sydney. Here is the bad, along with a gorgeous view of the Opera House you are treated to the continuos serenade of the trains honking as they enter the elevated station. If you like a 4:30 am wake up call this is the hotel for you and no I am not kidding or exaggerating. The deluxe room is decent in size and the bathroom is functional so no complaints with that part of the stay. However, the train is a killer for this hotel. My recommendation is to stay at the Intercontinental, similar location and no train. Last comment, if you are going to charge 46 dollars for breakfast at least give me fresh squeezed orange juice.

Room Tip: Do not accept a room ending in 01 or 12

This was a last minute business trip to Sydney and the Four Seasons was recommended by my Airline. It was mid priced for a Sydney 5 Star Hotel and I was given a harbour view room on the 14th Floor. Check in was friendly and efficient, the room was very clean with all the expected options including a stunning view of Sydney Harbour out to the Opera House and Bridge. The highlight was in two parts, first the position, right next to Circular Quay and an easy walk to the Opera House, Sydney Harbour Bridge and Sydney's CBD. The Hotel has a great bar called Grain which specializes in Spirits (very good Single Malt selection) but still had a Champagne and Oysters special the night I arrived. Their in-house restaurant named Woods is very good and their wine list is a treat!

Room Tip: If you're looking for the views ask for upper floors Harbour View. If not the rates for the room...
