A small boutique style property. Good mix of original and modern. Rooms were quite small in comparison to other Accor hotels. Service was friendly. Girl at desk did not know what a meeting planner Accor Le Club card was. Mistake made on bill, but was easily fixed when pointed out.

Avoid room 107 as it's tiny and the battleship grey paint on the walls made it feel like a cell. No room to swing a cat and woken early in morning by rubbish bins being wheeled out. Certainly not 5 star! Room 111 was a great improvement and staff were extremely helpful in getting us moved. View did not live up to expectation which was a disappointment as my first and possibly only trip to Sydney. Their glossy book in foyer is definitely misleading on this count. Breakfast and dinner excellent and enjoyed the roof terrace. Gym out of action. Staff made visit a great experience and location unbeatable.

Our room was very pleasant and clean, overlooking the street. However, no street noise bothered us. We were able to peek at the charming old buildings opposite through the white muslin -look blinds. Being so close to Circular Quay, restaurants, and a ten-minute walk from one of our destinations, the Sydney Theatre Company, was fantastic. We ate a tasty meal at the attached restaurant and enjoyed drinks in the bar before-hand. The staff were friendly and helpful and attended to our non-working iron promptly. For us, this hotel rocked!

Room Tip: Our street-facing room on the second floor was great.

A reservation glitch saw us able to nab a 1 night booking rather then the minimum 4 night stay the hotel requires over the NYE period. Trust me. I'm not complaining. You really can't much closer to the Rocks district even if you tried.
This is a lovely boutique hotel that although quaint still has all the lovely extras you expect from a top notch property. The receptionist was so incredibly welcoming and a real delight to deal with.
The room was just a standard refurbished room which faced the street and was on street level which kind of worried me as I imagined all the NYE revellers coming past but we barely heard a thing. God bless double glazing.
The only slight drawback is the bathroom was tiny. So much so that we have been on cruise ships that have bigger bathrooms. But hey, as my mantra goes. If that's the worse thing I have to complain about then life ain't too bad.
I really recommend this hotel as the staff are trained to treat the guests like friends and it does come with some of that 5 star formality that some of the bigger hotels have.
Here's hoping another reservation glitch allows us to stay for a night next NYE. But if not we would still use this hotel as a little bit of home away from home.

Great location. Great location. Great location. 1 minute walk to the harbour, 5 minutes walk to circular key. In The Rocks, which in our view is the best place to stay in Sydney.

Atmospheric and characterful building. Nice to stay somewhere with a bit of history. The staff were helpful and the breakfast was very nice.

Cannot fault it.

All hotels in Sydney are expensive, but this is a great option if you want to very close to the centre of things, without paying an excess for a view of the Opera House from your room!
