Stunning views of the Harbor, Opera House, the Botanical gardens and the Bridge!! This hotel has one of the best views in the city and the location is priceless. It was our last night of our honeymoon and we decided to book a club room to relax and enjoy the remaining night. Check in was fast and efficient and Eryk was fantastic, he was the first person to congratulate us. Special moments are always lasting memories. He was very confident and I could truthfully say that was the best check in experience we had in Australia after visiting a couple hotels in two weeks. When we got to the room, the luggage was in the room already nicely arrange and we were impressed.

We visited the Club lounge for canapes and the service not not up to scratch, we had to look for a table on our own. The hostess said just walk in but all free seats had used glasses and we were not sure which seats to take. We managed to get a seat after asking the ladies to check the free seats in case someone is still occupying the seats. Nevertheless the variety of canapes was ok for a pre-dinner and we enjoyed the views and the relaxing atmosphere.

Check out was quick and the agent (forgot the name) was engaging throughout the process. Our taxi was right at the porte corchere when we were done with check out. Bellmen were friendly and arranged our luggage in the transfer.

Indeed, the stay was a beautiful last stroke to our visit in Australia. We will come back again!!

After a very disappointing stay at another Sydney hotel we really looked forward to arriving at The Intercontinental which was formerly The Treasury Building, full of history and heritage, transformed into a 5 star hotel, blending heritage with modern conveniences and conveniently located in Circular Quay.
On arrival we were pleasantly and warmly welcomed and greeted with the opening of our car door and immediate assistance with our luggage, escorted to reception we were greeted with the same warm welcome.
Check in was with ease and all hotel services explained including confirmation of the late check out we had requested at the time of making our reservation.
Concierge made restaurant reservations for us and arranged for our luggage to be taken to our room as we had to leave for an appointment.
Upon our return to the hotel we were welcomed back by name and offered cool bottles of water, what a special touch!
Our room was absolutely beautiful, opening the door we were greeted with a welcome message on the t.v screen, our first impression was that it was so clean and fresh. The decor was delightful with quality fittings, with clear views to a Circular Quay, The Harbour Bridge & The Opera House, which we captured some amazing photos, including watching cruise liners coming in and out of the Harbour.
Our sleep quality would have to one of the best experienced away from home, the bed was so comfortable, total block out window furnishings and absolutely no noise heard from the street or directly from the hall etc.
We had an evening meal in the hotel Opera Cafe, choosing the seafood buffet was delicious. So many fresh quality choices on offer including non seafood, the staff were very friendly and attentive.
Our Breakfast buffet was also in the same restaurant providing a delicious start to the day!
Our check out experience was with ease and made for a very special end to our stay in Sydney
Overall staying at The Intercontinental has everything should you just want to have a quality relaxing time without leaving the hotel, or to sightsee and explore the CBD, Circular Quay, The Rocks is within walking distance with public transport readily available if needed.
The Intercontinental is now our hotel of choice whilst staying in Sydney and elsewhere and highly recommend to others.
Thank you to all at The Intercontinental Sydney, our stay was made so special because of the outstanding facilities and wonderful customer service!

Room Tip: Any Upper Harbour facing room is amazing.

This hotel has probably one of the best views on earth. Overlooking the Sydney harbour with it`s beautiful bridge and the most beautiful Opera frame I know, it is breathtaking. You def. have to book a room with harbour view and better I really suggest, book the club Intercontinental! Sit on top of the building in- or outside and just enjoy the view. The staff even up there in the club is really nice and tries everything to help and service you. Don`t misunderstand, but a few little things could be better, like maybe a room makeup and, if roomstaff has trouble organizing for example an extra bed, they let us not only wait, they just didn`t inform us, that they had trouble finding a bed or whatever, after 4 calls we got everything we wanted.

Room Tip: Harbour view with club access!

Luxury hotel very close to Circular Quay which made sightseeing really easy. Room booked with points and as it was our honeymoon was hoping for an Opera House or Harbour Bridge view. This wasn't possible but to be fair on reception they put us in a high floor corner room with a huge window looking over the city, botanical gardens and part of the harbour and we loved the room. We did find tripadvisor better than the concierge for restaurant recommendations though!

We had a Harbour View room and could not have been happier with the view, just spectacular. We were staying a few nights prior to going on a cruise so it built the excitement to be able to watch the cruise ships come and go. One disappointment however was that our booking of two rooms resulted in two rooms on different floors - not great when a family is travelling together, luckily our kids are young adults and not smaller or this could have been an issue for us. The staff were friendly and professional and our stay was very comfortable and convenient to buses, train, ferries which allowed us to get around easily on foot/public transport. Keen shoppers may wish to stay closer to the mall however as it was a bit of a walk home on weary shopping legs.

Room Tip: Pay the extra money for the Harbour View - you don't get views like that over one of the most be...

We stayed here after disembarking off the Diamond Princess (Cruise Ship). Great Location - could just walk there and did not have to join the long queue off the Ship. There was a problem with our booking which was sorted out with the type of service you rarely get these days - extraordinary. This Hotel is all about service and location! We paid for a Premium Room and got an amazing view. I could just have looked at it all day! It is a 5 Star Hotel so you expect Room Service etc to be expensive - but do not let that put you off. As a special treat we would stay again. Thanks!

Room Tip: We had room 3026 - amazing view!

We arrived a little early to check in. So, had to wait about 90 minutes. The lobby is crmaped; gets difficult during holiday time. Had to watch others feet all the time while in queue. Being an ambassador member was no help in this regard. Being that, we had daily news papers and free Internet for 4 devices; saves one 25 dollars a day. Rooms were clean, airy and well lit with sunlight during day. However, the translucent window between bathroom and the room has only nuisance value. It disturbed every one when member went to bathroom. Did not try any food as we found it more interesting to try elsewhere; also, affordable for a family of 4 adults. If one is an avid runner, get onto Botanic Garden; it is only 2 minutes away. Could get in and outmof room often to watch new year's firework. Also, a partial view from the room.

Room Tip: City view was not bad from 14th floor. Upper one's should be better.
