Fantastic place to stay when you're in Sydney. Great location, wonderful rooms, very helpful staff. Enjoy staying there every time. The views are always wonderful. Be sure to have a drink in the club lounge.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view of the Eastern suburbs/harbour

The location of this hotel is excellent. Its just a 5 minute walk to Circular Quay.My room on the 24th floor was large & clean and there was nothing to fault. All of the staff I had contact with were great. I was fortunate enough to be able to have a drink in the rooftop club lounge which has one of the very best views in Sydney of the Opera House & Bridge.
I would definitely stay here again.

My husband and I spent 3 night in Sydney before our cruise. This hotel has the best location. The rooms were comfortable, fresh and clean. The front desk personnel were warm and friendly. But the location was perfect. One block from Sydney harbor and the opera house. We could walk everywhere. Only draw back was I am an ambassador member and had to pay to get access to the VIP lounge. Wondering why I bother with membership when I had to pay for this perk.

Room Tip: You want a room on the west side for spectacular views

The club lounge is a must, we arrived at 11am and went straight to upto the club lounge the view is breath taking and the service exceptional after a coffee and chat our room was ready and as always clean and welcoming. The club lounge staff were made aware of our sons intolerances to dairy and gluten and arranged food for him, as our children are under 12 the club lounge can not accommodate them from 5pm -7pm however arranged food and drinks to our room so no one missed out, even arranged a special gluten free diary free pizza which our little darling just loved. Turn down service is a treat as is the pillow menu. The staff at the club lounge are trained to the highest of standards yet are still warm and friendly and have wonderful memories and insightful knowledge of customer needs. We will be back soon for another amazing experience.

I immediately booked the InterContinental after my first night in Sydney elsewhere as I was really looking for someplace more central. The location is top notch and is a two minute walk away from Circular Quay, where you can catch ferries or buses to anywhere in the city. Should you wish, the hotel is also a good base for walking around the city.

My room was fantastic and all that you can expect from an InterContinental. The gym here (24 hours) was surprisingly good and had adequate free weights as well as machines and cardio equipment. All in all, a very typical business hotel but who says consistency is a bad thing?

I cannot faulty any with this hotel.
Reception was good and quick. Also staff was helpful.
It was summer when we were there.
Pleasant to walk into hotel.
Cool and clean.

Our room was near the top with the view of harbour.
The size of the room was perfect for us. Bathroom was clean and also spacious.
There was a table with sofa in the room and sitting bank by the window.
Room temperature was pleasant was cleaned nicely.

We didn't have the breakfast. I cannot comment on that.

The location was perfect. Most of place in walking distance. Harbour, opera house, china town, sky tower and so on.

Love the city, love this place.
If we go back we would stay here again.

Interconti Sydney is a very worn out IHG property. The bathrooms are old style with shower curtains, the furniture has not been upgraded for a long time. This could all be compensated by price or customer service. What cis simply unacceptable is the poor sound-proofing of each room. A city highway slopes around the hotel and the constant noise of heavy traffic is making a restful sleep impossible. The windows and window frames are basically very old and don't shield the rooms from outside noise. I changed rooms 4 times, trying rooms out to every direction of the hotel, to no avail. Avoid this property if you can. A big letdown from IHG (I'm a platinum member with a few com parables in mind)

Room Tip: Stay at a different hotel
