Travelled as a couple , mercure is 20 mins drive frm airport stayed on last leg of our australian holiday. Rooms are pretty good n rooftop pool adds charm of getting to see sydney during nightime. Booked in non smoking floor but could still smell smoke at enterance door though. Pre booked brkst was superb wished had more tym to explore this hotel. Nearby subway takes care of ur dinner. Sydney is best explored on foot

This is the 4th stay that we've had at this great hotel. Can't say enough about how much we love staying here. Great location. Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean and tidy rooms serviced daily. Comfortable beds and pillows. A great base for a holiday in Sydney. Will certainly stay there again.

Perfect location for city visits. clean and comfortable.Close to central station which was perfect for our visit to food and wine festival in homebush. we could then return and walk to a restaurant and the cab home was very little cost from our nightclub.

Great location for all as its right at central station! This hotel is as good as 5 star it just doesn't have the scenic views! The service from all staff is exceptional. The buffet breakfast sensational but get in early on Sundays as it gets packed and if not booked on check-in you could wait for a table! The room we stayed in was modern fresh and clean. The bed was extremely comfortable and includes a PILLOW MENU!!! very cool! A indoor rooftop pool, sauna and gym complete the picture with a easy flat walk to suburban country and interstate trains Also did i mention the 555 free bus for George street is at the door. Overall a sensational place to stay! Mercure Sydney WE WILL BE BACK!!!

Room Tip: Book breakfast on check-in

My family of 4 stayed here for 5 nights. We arrived via the NSW trainlink-Melbourne to Sydney-arriving at Sydney Central Station. We couldn't believe how close the Mercure was to the station. A hop, skip, jump and we are home. We were greeted by friendly staff and given Level 9 facing the side alley street. This wasn't a problem as the locals provided entertainment when we were in. The room cantered for 4 people. We shared comfortable beds with ample room to move about. Coffee/tea provided and the housekeeping staff very helpful to bring extra mugs and coffee for my family. The museum tickets sold at the concierge desk are of better value than at the actual museums. I was very impressed with the concierge who helped book our return flights and did the check in for us prior to leaving. He was also helpful when asking for a luggage weight. (Sorry I didn't get his name) The gym was used by the family as was the pool, thou a bit cold. We really enjoyed the Sydney experience and would visit this hotel again. Especially if it's another winter special. Thanks

Room Tip: The higher you are the less noise from traffic will be heard.

Top floor room I was placed but a Force had better plans for me.
A fault had emerged so double suite was in order with luxury abound. Fluffy robe to lay in, chocolates to seduce. Nespresso to wake me, Heated pool to bath, sauna to simmer & gym to well, just look at. Lol Block out window shutters for that long sleep, Devine.
Sommelier French wine specialist Xavier pours a fabulous drop to Quaff & chat.
Mark's restaurant runs like a Swiss clock. The service by all is done with a smile. My trip to Sydney has raised to a new level by The Mercure Hotel.
