“Loved the location”

The hotel was located close to China Town. The rooms were clean and spacious.Car parking was $40 overnight in a small one way lane in Dixon Lane next to the Seasons Harbour Plaza. The complimentry milk in the fridge was off but the kitchen had everything you would need if wanting to cook for yourself. There was also a washing machine if you needed.Over all we would stay there again.

It seems that things are dependent upon who you book through. Our first visit was everything I expected. Our second visit was not good in comparison. Room had maintance issues that hadn't been dealt with. Dirty walls and splash back in kitchen area. Mold in the shower and bathroom . Headboard behind bed mounted on the wall on an angle. Curtain pelmet partially hanging down and back of curtain moldy and stuck together. However I found the Reception staff pleasant.both rooms were supposed to be deluxe but clearly we were given a standard room on the second visit

Stayed for a conference in a one bedroom with kitchen and refrigerator. Perfectly located across the street from the walkover that drops you at Cockle Bay, Darling Harbour and wonderful food and entertainment. It was a short two blocks to Victoria Building for trains and awesome shopping. The rooms were clean, the staff very accommodating. If you need ice, you need to request it from the desk, but be specific about how much you need. First request came in a large bag....the second request came in a cereal bowl. We traveled the country after our start in Sydney and elected to stay at this hotel again on our one night stop before flying home. We were there for Vivid Sydney! AWESOME week to plan to visit. Crowds on weekends at Harbour, but shows are nightly during week as well.

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from Sussex.

The location was good 400 metres from Town Hall, 290 metres from the Queen Victoria Building and 700 metres from Darling Harbour.
The apartment was well set out. It had everything you would need for a short stay. The room was clean.

I was on the fourth floor and found the street noise made for disturbed sleep. Having said that I leave in a quiet area so am not used to noise from the street.

Room Tip: Ask for a room higher up to get away from the street noise.

This is a fantastic place to stay in terms of proximity to the harbour etc. I had an apartment and it was spacious and well-fitted out. However the hotel is very tired. The fridge leaked, checking in and out was fairly chaotic, I was freezing for 2 nights, and it was hard to get simple things such as blankets. Colleagues had better hotels for the same price, so it's worth shopping around.

Room Tip: Ask for an apartment on one of the higher floors and ask to be away from the lifts, because they squ...

Stayed here for one night over the weekend. Located centrally at the CBD. 0 min to the 24-hour Convenience store. 5 mins to QVB, Galleries, Woolworths. 10 mins to Darling Quarter, Darling Harbour, 15 mins to China Town and Paddy's market.
Parking on street, free if between 10pm-8am. Wilson's parking opposite on Sussex has online specials $12 per day over weekends. Nightly rate at $8 online.
Kitchen with stove, dishwasher, fridge, washer and dryer.....
Renovation a bit out-dated. As we stayed at the lower floor, if you are a light sleeper, you might notice the noise from cars and people on the street below.

You get what you pay for. Seasons Harbour Plaza is in a great location and is a reasonable price. Considering what other hotels were charging, my expectations weren't high. I knew when booking that this wasn't going to be luxury but decided to take the gamble given it's proximity to Darling Harbour and the QVB - that is pretty much what this apartment hotel has going for it.

We arrived in Sydney very early, so left our bags at the hotel. The staff are neither rude nor friendly. They are just there to get the job done - though to be fair the housekeeping staff we encountered were always polite and said 'hello'. That couldn't necessarily be said about the front desk staff.

When we did manage to check into our room, on the surface it appeared clean. The natural light comes in through the bedroom window. We had a lounge light out which made it quite dark. I called down to the reception. The phone rang for a long time and when it was answered the man could barely hide that this was an inconvenience for him. However, the light was fixed promptly and it did make the room much lighter. Unfortunately, the light being out wasn't the only issue. The drier didn't work unless you stood holding the door closed. Hot water wasn't always a given in the shower and water leaked out of the fridge.

The reason I say that the room appeared clean on the surface is because if you looked closer you'd see that there was a lot of dust in the 'louvred' doors of the laundry doors, on skirting boards and the mould around the shower door actually started to wash off while I was in it.

It wasn't all bad. The linen seemed clean and the beds were comfortable. We did sleep well after a full day. Like any major city it is quite noisy on a weekend so if you are a light sleeper you may like to take earplugs. The gym had two bikes, two treadmills and two eliptical trainers - which is more equipment then many hotels I've stayed in. The pool was out of action but maybe this is indicative of a refurbishment, which this hotel desperately needs.

At the end of the day it is a trade off. The hotel needs a really thorough deep clean, a general refresh and some customer service training. However, once they do this, because of the location I suspect they could charge more. If you are very particular you will want to pay more for a nicer hotel.

Room Tip: Higher up is likely to be quieter.
