“Great family stay”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 January 2014

We only stayed here 1 night last minute with our 2 kids during summer school holidays & booked a 1 bedroom harbour view room. The room had a king in the bedroom & a double sofa bed in the lounge room, small kitchen, laundry & good sized bathroom with small balcony overlooking the ferry terminal & bridge. The views were lovely although you had to angle over the balcony to see the harbour bridge. We used the pool, spa & sauna twice and they were great. We didn't have breakfast at the hotel, preferring to walk through the botanic gardens (across the road) & eat in the cafe near the pool. Overall it was on the pricey side however the location was perfect for exploring Sydney.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the harbour are worth the extra price. Ask for a higher floor.

The apartments overlooking have a great view overlooking the bridge and are a great location for exploring Sydney. Great ferry, train & bus links are right on your doorstep. The apartments are spacious & clean.

Not cheap but worth it. Only disappointment is the charge for wireless on top of the room rate but this can be avoided by joint their loyalty card

Highly recommended

Had a wonderful evening bringing in 2014 in the Pullman lounge overlooking the harbour with my wife and daughter. It was $aud 369 per head but it was the best value in Sydney as the drinks and canopies were plentiful, the staff warm and attentive and a real party atmosphere was created. A memory never to be forgotten.

This was my first time to Sydney. I learned that the best way to see the various sites was by using the harbor ferry system and so being right on Circular Quay was great. Ferries go to Manly, Taronga Zoo and Darling Harbor.

The rooms at the hotel are indeed like apartments. Rooms were overall very we'll appointed and nicely decorated - clean, white/silver modern decor. The view of the harbor was nice, although you don't really face "out" into the harbor, you just look across all of the ferry piers and the cruise ships that tend to park across in front of the hotel. The opera house is very close to the hotel but you can't see it from the hotel itself. The botanical gardens nearby were also nice.

I ordered room service on several occasions and I found the food OK. Breakfast is not buffet style but still good.

One thing I noted about this property, it appeared that the staffing was on the lean side. There were instances when I called the Front Desk and the call would not be picked up. It was over the Christmas holidays so they may have had less people than normal. The front desk roughly serves a combined reception, reservation and concierge function - this seems to be more common these days - but nevertheless the people I talked to about places to visit and restaurants and transportation seemed to be quite knowledgeable.

One of the factors that led us to pick this hotel was the fact that it is one of the few downtown hotels with a pool. It turns out the pool is still relatively small. I guess in Sydney everyone just heads over to the beaches which are close by.

Overall a good hotel. I was looking at this property, the Shang Ri La and the Four Seasons. Next time I might give the Four Seasons a go but if I end up here again I would not be unhappy.

It is hard to know where to start really so here it is.

I was met on the street attempting to remove my bags from the rear of the limo, always a mistake I know. The gabs were removed from my possession and I next saw them about 4 minutes later in my suite after completing check in with all arrangements in place.

They were expecting me.

Very efficient.

I did mention to the porter that this was a surprise anniversary present and about 3 minutes later a bottle of champagne arrived.

Thank You.

The Pullman Quay Grand Sydney is superbly located in Circular Quay. It is about three minutes from the Opera House and about one minute to the cross harbour ferries, train and downtown Sydney.

I will be reviewing the restaurants in Circular Quay soon.

Simply put the location is superb, the views of the bridge spectacular the service is equal to or better than anything I have experienced across Asia, Europe and North America.

The suites are equipped for laundry, own cooking and relaxation, though with the restaurants nearby you will want to indulge in their menu’s.

I stayed here twice in December; the first visit was interrupted by a cruise to New Zealand.
The price is commensurate with the location and the amenity and convenience that this brings so do not be dissuaded on this alone.

Check this out as soon as you can when staying in Sydney….and you can walk to the Overseas Passenger Terminal to connect to your cruise ship.

Room Tip: Ask for a room closer to the Opera House

A fantastic three night stay in a one bedroom apartment for a family stay. We had four rooms in total.

Excellent staff willing to help for everything we needed. Valet car service was speedy each morning.

The room service was incredible. The meals were restaurant quality and also catered for kids meals which too were also delicious.

The pool and spa area were well maintained and really great, a unique location looking over the Quay and relaxing on the sun beds was a treat.

The rooms were very spacious, comfy beds, plenty of room for kids and a great balcony. High level floors are worth asking for.

Add the best location for a hotel in the city, the Quay one on side and Botanic Gardens on the other. Excellent spot.

Quieter too than other hotels we have stayed at in the city.

Not a fault to comment on!

This hotel is minutes from the opera house, behind it the lovely and quiet botanical gardens & in front, the bustling and delightful "circular" quay. The staff were very helpful and the pool is a hidden jewel. A great place to stay in Sydney.
