We reserved a two bedroom apartment to celebrate a 4 friend combined 50th birthday.
I had requested Harbour view at the time of booking but was advised that these were fully booked.
Happy to save the few $ and go with a Garden view. The apartment was just what we wanted!
We were lucky enough to secure a corner on the 9th floor with great Park & Opera House views. We sat in "our loungeroom" all night on Friday watching the light show on the Opera House!
Apartment was well appointed with a full kitchen.
The staff were welcoming and landing a taxi on Sat night was fun.
The most amazing thing was the quiet!
The hotel was fully booked due to VIVID but we felt like we were staying in our own place with no noise from neighbouring rooms.
Having a drink in the bar watching the light show was a highlight.
Thank you for a perfect stay!

Thank you very much for taking the time to write such a lovely review. I'm so pleased you chose The Pullman to help celebrate your joint 50th birthdays. We are idealy located for all that Sydney has to offer, including the beautiful Vivid festival. Our suites had the best of both worlds, with the view of the Opera House, lit up in all its splendour, and botanical gardens on 'your' 9th floor!

Then to come down and enjoy the Vivid show from our ECQ bar, with its harbour view, is the perfect idea!

I will pass on my thanks to the team for making your stay that extra special.

I love this hotel. Great apartment style hotel rooms. They are well managed. Great value. for example, I paid 429 for one night, for that I recieved a harbour view room right on the water's edge! The room is SPECTACULAR. Their is a full size kitchen , dining room and sofa bed that opens up. Perfect view of the Harbour Bridge and the cbd and ferries coming in and out. The bedroom has a desk area too and very comfortable bed. My favourite thing of this room is the HUGE Spa for two or three people, and the very nice marble bathroom ! I recommend this because it is your home on the HARBOUR. I travel a lot for work and I would recommend people even visit the hotel to ask to see a room before booking, The value is great because for 400 dollars; U would only get a small room in Four seasons in a room without a window or balcony. Oh yes, I forgot to say, this room has a Huge balcony and table so You can sit and eat your breakfast while breathing in the fresh air and looking directly at the harbour

The Pullman Grand Quay is on Sydney's Circular Quay and the Royal Botanic Gardens. Service, excellent, room, excellent, amenities, excellent.....Bar and restaurant provided excellent service and quality food overlooking the Quay, simply wonderful.

We stay at this property often and since Accor took it over there have been many changes. Unfortunately none of the past staff that knew us are there anymore so it has lost the sense of 'coming home' we used to feel. We used to receive a hand written card from the duty manager or hotel general manager - this has not happened our last few visits. Room service standards have dropped- we thought the shorter menu would potentially mean better quality- but unfortunately not- dry, flavourless room service burgers and only half of the meal listed arrived for our daughter- it advertised sandwich and salad but only the sandwich turned up- and as a parent the salad was the most important component - we had to call for the salad. As members of the past hotel management we used to review free wireless- this time we were charged and in this day and age- wireless should be considered a standard inclusion. Housekeeping was a little lacking on this occasion and the last- last time we found an emptied bin with a babies nappy in it and a babies dummy under the bed (our 3year old found it) and this time their were hairs in the bathroom and missing parts to the nespresso machine). Don't get me wrong- we love this hotel for the room facilities and location but it is missing the personal touch we used to receive that made it feel like our Sydney home. We will continue to stay until they go back to the original service style or we find a new 'Sydney home'.

First of all these are not suites as you understand them they are actually apartments. We just had a 3 night stay at the Pullman Quay Grand Sydney Harbour as we had to move out of our building whilst the plumbing was updated. The Pullman is understated luxury very stylishly decorated and the lobby ambience is simple and nice. We booked a 2 bedroom harbour apartment. It was on floor 9 at the end of the corridor room 901. It was almost as big as our apartment at home. The master bed was huge and nicely planned with a view of the Harbour Bridge from the bed and a good wardrobe bathroom configuration for dressing, the second bedroom which we also used was of ample size with its own little balcony and huge wardrobe. Both bathrooms were well appointed and even though ten years old looked stylish with marble and chrome. The kitchen was fully equipped and had an oven, microwave, Nespresso machine (and unlike other reviews here I was told on Check out the pods were free), there was a dishwasher and lots of cupboards with crockery and wine glasses in fact all you would have at home. They even put tiny bottles of fresh milk in the fridge instead of that UHT stuff which was great. The Dining room and lounger we great and we entertained 5 people to dinner one night and no one felt cramped. The views of the Harbour and watching the comings and goings of Circular Quay were endlessly fascinating. One thing you should know is that the balcony off the living area for these end apartments is very small. The service here is great. We needed extra things in the room from housekeeping due to one guest having a mild disability and they obliged each day after the initial asking. We didn't dine at the Restaurant which looked lovely but one of our guest on Tuesday night said it was superb. We did visit the bar a few times and it is very nice to lounge and watch the view and to just chat and drink but again the bar staff are just excellent and really well dressed and have no attitude just want to serve in that stylish way that well run hotels have I guess you might say serve well without pretension or condescension. Room service was great and given the view having room service breakfast makes sense. Its not even expensive you can have the full breakfast continental and hot with pastry, muesli and coffee delivered for $38 but we picked the menu apart and had a la carte breakfast delivered each day with coffee, tea hot chocolate ad food for 3 delivered each morning for about $20 a head! The quality of the food was excellent.
All in all whilst this might seem an expensive option for some, our room was $530 a night. Think about this if you wanted a harbour view 5 star in any other hotel that was in a suite you'd be paying way more than this and in considerable less comfort as a suite is generally just some sort of expanded studio this is an actual apartment. With our room service breakfast we accommodated three adults in great comfort for less that $200 a head per night so I think this would be a great solution for a small group travelling together. Try it you won't be disappointed.

Room Tip: Harbour view rooms have a bit of noise but are way more interesting than the park view rooms but if...

Stayed for 3 nights in a harbour view room. The location was the biggest advantage having quick access to circular quay transport. The view was fantastic as was the room setup and facilities. The staff were great, the lifts fast and the pod coffee machine a bonus. Would stay here again on our next trip to sydney.

Room Tip: Spend the money on a harbour view.

The views and location could not be better. Everyone has to get over the fact that Australia is expensive. Saving yourself a hundred dollars is not worth it to stay out of the CBD, or Harbour area. This hotel could not be better located and a great staff to top it all off. Does the room have a few bumps and bruises..sure...but it is lovely, has everything you need and could not ask for more. Trust me...it is worth every penny.
