We stayed here for 3 nights in a city view room, it was a fairly standard hotel room. It was clean and spacious, the bed was comfortable and the showers good. You could here the neighbours take showers or flush toilets. The valet were nice however the front desk staff were not enjoying there jobs. They had a standard speech to say and they were lucky to say that much.
Overall it was fine to stay here however I will be looking elsewhere for next time.

Room Tip: City view rooms are good if you want to save a few $$

Quay West Suites made our weekend getaway OUTSTANDING!
The staff were friendly and very helpful. The room was large and modern. The pool, sauna and spa made the whole experience! I will be heading back there next time I am in Sydney.

I attended a training course at the hotel and also stayed for 3 nights. The facilities, location and service were excellent. I arrived at 11pm on the Wednesday night and didn't actually go outside the building till 5pm on the Friday night and found it to be extremely comfortable. The pool area was maginificent, the views were stunning and I had the whole pool and spa to myself for about 1 hour which I thoroughly enjoyed. The location is excellent for access to the ferries and entertainment and restaurants around the rocks and circular quay. My room overlooked they city and was very comfortable and clean.I will definetely stay here again when I am next in Sydney.

Room Tip: I had a city view room, ask for a harbour view room, you will be knocked out by the view.

stayed one night for a business meeting. super views from the rooms, which were beautifully furnished. A high standard for an apartment hotel, very upmarket furnishings and tasteful foyers, and all the little touches that are sometimes missing in this sort of accommodation - herbal teabags, proper toiletries, and a properly stocked mini bar, so i didnt need to go out and buy orange juice. Staff service was excellent for our meeting the next day. Visited the top floor pool for a look - its a superb pool with stunning views of the bridge and harbour. The buffet breakfast was exceptionally good, with some innovative offerings (ginger and lemongrass shots, etc, and three types of eggs) which distinguished it from the run of the mill breakfast buffets that most hotels offer. The rate was surprisingly good for a central Sydney location - only 10 minutes walk from Circular Quay railway station, where you can catch the airlink train.

Room Tip: Worth ensuring you have a harbour view, but if not, make sure you visit the top floor recreation are...

It's so nice to have a spacious suite instead of a hotel room. The suites have everything you need but you still have the nice hotel touches. Room service was lovely & really well priced. The staff we super friendly. I would definitely stay here again in a flash.

Stayed in room 1904 in a serviced apartment with panoramic views over the Harbour Bridge & the Opera House. The second bedroom has a view looking south-east to the CBD & the main bedroom has a window looking towards the harbour. But you can get the same view from the Shangri La Hotel next door - there is a bar open to the public on the 35th floor.

The bathrooms & the lounge area are quite small - the 2nd bathroom was tiny as was the laundry.

Biggest problem for me was that the apartments are not located conveniently to the Sydney CBD which is further south along George Street. Not being familiar with Sydney I didn’t realise this when I booked. The apartment is fine if you need to be located near the Rocks or Circular Quay. The incline to walk up Essex St to the hotel elevator (marked Quay West Car Park) on Harrington St really is quite steep - it's also desolate, dark & spooky at night. After midnight the car park elevator is closed & you have to continue up Essex Street & turn right into Gloucester Street; that really is a feet-touching-your-nose steep kind of experience! Considering the 'central' location I seemed to always find that our accommodation was well out of the way when we were out shopping. For example, the location is not such that you would pop back to drop off some shopping or have a quick nap.

If you want to be located central to the Sydney CBD I suggest staying somewhere further south along George Street near Wynyard Station or Town Hall Station.

We could not watch any pay-per-view movies as the set top box wouldn't work & remained out of service during our stay. The swipe keys continually did not work which meant trips back to the reception desk which luckily is open 24 hours.

By no means is this luxurious accommodation (a little worse for wear), but it is pricey & out of the way. Also be aware that at Reception you will need to hand over your credit card so the hotel can put a hold of $100 per night on your card, which took a week to be released. I would not stay here again.
