Located closer to Circular Quay, this hotel was still a convenient 10minute walk to the Shopping centre at Pitt St mall and Sydney Tower.
Although our room was inwards facing (purchased as a mystery room at the last minute for a very good price) the room was very clean and modern. Service at the front desk was prompt and polite. Parking our car thought the hotel's valet was expensive at $45 a night, however, this is not dissimilar to other hotels in the city. The hotel pool is heated but much smaller than it seems on the website pictures.

Room Tip: Inward facing rooms are cheaper, but feel a lot darker. It may be worth paying for an outward facing...

My wife and I had stayed at this hotel a number of years ago and, as we enjoyed a great stay there then, we decided to book in for a few nights on a recent Sydney visit. We booked a business room with access to the business lounge. On arrival, we were looked after by friendly and efficient staff. Booking in was quick and the girl on the desk was very helpful. On accessing our room however, we found construction happening across the street. When the jackhammer started we knew we would need to move rooms. Within 15 minutes of contacting the desk we were happily in our new larger, quiet room just across the hall. A big thank you to the staff who were very happy to assist with this. The room was very comfortable and the marble bathroom, a delight to use. There was a good selection of drinks available in the business lounge in the evening, although the canapés could be improved. A little more variety would have been nice. Breakfast in the lounge was very nice, good choices of hot and cold fare. The coffee was the highlight though. It was fantastic. Room service was efficient and the food very nice. We enjoyed a couple of drinks in the bar where the good service continued and was quite comfortable. Prices though were somewhat over the top for most things provided. Checking out was made easy and the team organised a cab for us. All in all a very pleasant stay.

Could not ask for a better experience. Our room was a great size with a huge well equipped bathroom. We would recommend staying here to our family & friends. Very comfortable bed with a pillow menu. Fantastic team on reception

Got an e-mail the night before we were due to fly in that one of the two nights we booked via Groupon and had confirmation for was no longer available due to a system problem. We immediately called up their reception to try reason with them as we were with a baby, it was our anniversary, flights were confirmed, we already had leave approved from work and that alternative accommodation was simply not an option with this late of notice - or any sort of notice for that matter. When trying to escalate the matter we were told the manager had left for the day, shortly after the e-mail was sent. After a stressful night spent Googling for what our rights were we decided to still check-in for the first night and hope some sort of resolution could be reached once we were there.

Fortunately Radisson Blu managed to turn things around. As soon as we arrived we were greeted with a smile and when asked how we were we answered honestly that it wasn't good given the situation; but the hotel manager came out personally to tell us that we could stay both nights and to make up for the mix-up and stressful night before that we'd been upgraded to the business lounge level, now have a full buffet breakfast both mornings and champagne as a gift. The hotel manager even personally wrote us a card and left it in our room - nice personal touch! What a huge weight off our shoulders. We did not need to sleep on the street with our baby. We were actually able to enjoy Sydney from then.

As a hotel, apart from the booking system problem via Groupon, the accommodation is excellent. Clean and modern rooms, large bed, fully equipped gym, free wifi, lavish bathroom and amenities, helpful staff including reception/concierge/bell men and door men; and walking distance to some of Sydney's major attractions such as the Opera House, Hyde Park and museums.

We stayed here two nights before our cruise on the Radiance. Totally enjoyed our stay. First impression was the very friendly and helpful staff that we encountered. From the gentlemen helping with our luggage off the taxi, to the check-in clerks, all served with a smile. We had two rooms on the 3rd floor, and both rooms were nicely appointed, modern, sleek and clean. Our view was of other office buildings and an alley. Tea kettle with coffee and tea packets was a nice touch. Thick, thirsty bathrobes were provided. We did not eat at the hotel so no comments. Location of this hotel is great, short walk to everything and easy to navigate. Make sure you get a map from the desk, they have the best map of Sydney out of all the ones we had with us. Just wish that they have a ramp for people with difficulties using the stairs and for rolling the luggage. There is a little lift at one entrance but seems like it's for wheelchair use only. All in all, a great stay at this hotel!

Dined at the Malay-Chinese restaurant about half a block up on Hunter, great food for cheap! They close at 7pm, so go early.

Room Tip: Higher floor if possible to avoid street noise.

I was booked in to the Atrium room but on arrival wS upgraded to the presidential suite the facilities were superb
It was the night ofy son's wedding and I certainly felt very valued and deserving of the upgrade
Nit sure if I could afford the room
The bottle of bubbly capped it off a fit ending to my beautiful day the newly weds joined me for breakfast the next morning in the Bistro Fax which as usual
did not disappoint
I will definitely return to this great hotel specially love the high tea

I recently stayed in this centrally located hotel for a couple of nights. Overall it is a great hotel, well located and easy to find. The room was big and airy and the bed was really comfortable. The bathroom was also huge and the shower amazing. Breakfast was excellent, great choice and good times.
The main downside was the internet. The wifi would not work in my room. When I contacted reception they told me to contact the internet provider and for me to deal with the internet company myself. This I found bizarre. When I refused the internet company still contacted me directly. Again bizarre and inappropriate. The matter was dealt with eventually with the duty manager, and it did involve a room change, but I would have expected a more professional response from a five star hotel.
My other complaint would be the front desk. On arrival they tried to charge me for breakfast, I had to explain that it was included in the room and eventually had to prove that with the email. On my check out the same receptionist tried to charge me again for the room, despite me explaining that it had been paid for. This receptionist could do with some more training.
Overall though the location of this hotel is super and the rooms are airy and clean and good value for money.
