“Good spot”
Reviewed 8 June 2014

Chose a black line special from wotif which is one of those mystery deals where the rate is cheap but you don't know exactly where you are staying until after you book. The hotel was the Radisson at the corner of O'Connell St and Pitt Street. So very central to both the Vivid festival and lower CBD. Arrived very late in the evening and was greeted by happy friendly staff who had good knowledge of the area as I quizzed them about the best spots to eat at 11 pm around the hotel. They recommended Jamie Olivers Italian restaurant which is 1 min walk away and was a great suggestion. A good spot overall and I only paid $172 through wotif. This is my second stay here and both have a positive experience. I believe the in house restaurant which is independently run is very good. It is a spanish/modern cuisine and was recommended by friends but I arrived too late. So will give it a try next time.

I just returned from Sydney. We had a small group at this hotel. It was in an excellent location, central and easily accessible.
The staff went above and beyond...clearly service is important and it showed.
Everyone in our group commented very positively about the facilities, service and location of the hotel.

We booked (standard Queen room )at the Radisson for one night being our 28th wedding anniversary. When we checked in we were warmly welcomed and asked if it was a special occasion. I told them it was our wedding anniversary and with that the young man swung into action. We were given the most unexpected treatment. Firstly being the talk of the front desk "married 28 YEARS " we were upgraded to a top floor king room with balcony. Lovely appointed room. We had been in the room for about 10 min there was a knock at the door, a bottle of champagne on ice, glasses and a card wishing us a happy anniversary. We cant thank the staff enough for the wonderful stay.

Room Tip: I can only imagine that all the rooms are of the same standard!

A great business hotel in the centre of the city that is convenient to all travellers, excellent for dining options as there are many great restaurants and bars nearby. The shopping centre of the city is a step away.
The location is perfect for business travellers as its in the CBD.

Room Tip: Ask for rooms in the higher floors as there is a bit of work going on around the hotel at the moment...

Stayed here for a few nights and found it very central between the harbour and the city shopping area.

We upgraded to the business club floor just so we could get an early check in and the extra facilities, this was worth it as they also had an offer running.

This hotel is not the big modern hotel some of them are in Sydney and for that reason has it's own charm.

The room we had was very large although directly across was an office block, well what do you expect in a central location. The curtain set up just made it very discreet.

Breakfast was very good and the whole hotel never felt over crowded. We were there at the weekend so it could be because it is more of a business hotel.

Stayed for 3 nights - great location and wonderful room. It was our last few nights in Oz after moving around and it was great way to end the stay in a big decent bed and a very HOT POWERFUL SHOWER :-). Really good location.

Didn't use a lot of the services but when we did the staff were great - we used the valet parking and that was great value.

This hotel was booked for by a travel agent since I knew nothing about Sydney. This was a first trip. The hotel is located in the heart of the city near all the action so the location is great.

The staff couldn't be better. Friendly, informative and do anything they can to make your stay more enjoyable. The restaurants are nice is a bit pricey.

It's the rooms that really need help. If you're a business traveller and just need a place in the city to lay your head, this is the place. If your on holiday (like us), it's a little tough.

The rooms are small. The drawer space is extremely limited. It has a decent TV but the "radio" is really an iPod player. Since I have a newer iPhone with the near adapter configuration, the iPod player (really a speaker system) was useless other than being a clock. The desk chair had something wrong with the lowering and raising mechanism. It didn't work. It stuck in one position (low).

The bathroom was the nicest part of the room but I would have gladly traded off bathroom amenities for more drawer space and a larger room. If it hadn't been the room, this would make it to five stars based on the staff and restaurants. As it is, I stayed for six nights while at a Convention and vacation.

Room Tip: No tip. I had a "deluxe" room and it wasn't deluxe.
