Hotels in Sydney are expensive. I did a lot of research on tripadvisor before booking Radisson Blu and a bed and breakfast place for the experience of staying in two neighbourhoods.

We stayed in Radisson Blu on the weekend. If you like quiet, it's great since it's in the central business district and there's not many people walking around on the weekend. But the cafes, restaurants and bars are mostly open and packed on a Saturday! It's just a five minute walk to Circular Quay, which is fantastic if you want to see the Sydney Opera House and quay on your own. There is some shopping and restaurants there too. We didn't eat there but walked by some great live music on Saturday night. It's easy for the hotel to grab you a taxi and there is a bus stop with a direct bus to Bondi beach nearby.

Service is excellent, they do try their best to customise their recommendations on eating places or helping you according to your preferences. I think it's partly because the hotel isn't too big, allowing for personalised service and great attitude from the staff. We hardly had to queue for the concierge and reception.

On tripadvisor, a lot of the bigger chain hotels had more mixed reviews and photos of rooms looking worn out. Even Four Seasons! Was surprised. While the Radisson Blu hotels look like generic business hotel rooms, they are new, modern, clean and tasteful. They also have pillow options if you like that sort of thing. Decent size too, for a hotel centrally located. The bed and breakfast was not that much cheaper and was further out from the city and the linen wasn't as new and nice. Radisson Blu prices were lower than the big chains.

Try The Bentley restaurant too. Great food and service. Absolutely packed on a Saturday night!

Really a great deal for a Sydney stay! I would go back

I stayed at the Radisson Blu once again, and the stay has been great as always. Staff remember my name and preferences, and I always feel welcome at the hotel. Great hotel for both business and holiday in Sydney.

Staff were very friendly and helpful, room was very clean and well presented. I would definitely stay here again. I had problems with the supplied pillows the first night but with a pillow menu this was readily fixed.

Just had 4 nights at this hotel in Sydney, It's up in the top 3 Best Hotels that I have stayed in on my travels. Booked Business Class but was upgraded to Studio Spa Suite, everything was of high quality in the suite with truly amazing extra service to the room. Hand towels changed several times in a day, each night a turn down service with bottles of water and ice bucket. The exclusive Business Class Lounge also was amazing, very friendly staff, Breakfast was equal to any top restaurant, the evening drinks and canapes along with other offerings made for a truly remarkable experience. All staff were attentive to any request. Great central location to all attractions around CBD. The Bistro Fax Bar was very enjoyable for a few drinks or a coffee. The climate control within the hotel was well set for the cold weather outside. Bentley Restaurant was very expensive, quality was there, excellent exclusive wine selection, it's a niche restaurant, worth the experience once but would not do again. We have stayed at both Radisson in Liverpool Street and Radisson Blul in O'Connell Street Sydney, Radisson Blu is far superior with exceptional service, We will definitely stay here again on our next visit to Sydney.
