“Free breakfast - but at a cost!”
Reviewed 6 July 2014 via mobile

We stayed for 2 nights in a 2 bedroom apartment. It was great; no complaints there. Amenities, beds, kitchen etc were spot on. As my sister was 'trialling' the holiday scheme, we were offered a free breakfast and then one of the sales people were going to have a chat with her. This chat lasted nearly an hour and did nothing to keep her interested.

The salesmen (yes they were all men), were dressed in suits but came across as used car salesmen. Why the suits and not a corporate casual look like a polo shirt and trousers? I say this because there was no rapport, just a hard sell. Maybe make it less formal, keep the professionalism and lose the attitude. By the way, after the chat we were rung twice in our room, once at 8.30 on Sunday morning as a follow-up!

As an apartment complex it was really good, but it was our holiday and we didn't appreciate being interrupted by salesmen.

We stayed for our second time for one night.

The people at the front desk were not as helpful as they were the first stay. It appeared they were disinterested.

An example of this is... we were told to give them 10 minutes notice for the car to be brought out front for us. I rang them 20 mins before and told them what time we needed it for as we had a reservation. But when we got down to reception the car was not there. We had to wait while a disinterested guy asked around as to who is bringing it up. He then went down to get the car. We were then told to go around the corner to a driveway to wait. It took a further 10 mins and we were left with the feeling of "Being a nuisance"

I would be hesitate to stay again after this experience.

We stayed here for business and the family came along as well. I am giving it a four because it really worked for us. The first room I had was for one person which was quite small, but had a kitchenette, and it was fine for one person. When the family arrived our daughter was on a pull out sofa in a separate room and kitchenette with fridge. The front desk staff was so helpful with directions and recommendations. The rooms are older, but clean. We used the large washer and dryer which has a few on different floors. I think it was $3.00-$4.00 AU per load, and it was done in no time. They even have detergent at the front desk as well. Our room came with a free breakfast up to a $15.00 AU limit per person for two people which was fine. The restaurant appears to be run by a different company attached to the hotel. The various menus and prices were confusing, and the people who worked there were not the friendliest.

Room Tip: Away from the main road/interior room.

We stayed for a single night as we had an early flight to catch. The location is ideal as we travelled to Sydney by train. An afternoon of exploring the city was great. Our one bed room was compact to say the least. Would stay again but would aim for a bigger room.

We stayed here for 3 nights, the rooms are very modern, clean and spacious. The hotel is situated just out of the CBD and close to the Museum Railway Station so easy to get a train to different parts of the city. The rooms are not serviced, therefore you have to go to reception if you want more tea, coffee, sugar towels etc. There isnt a resturant associated with this hotel but resturants close by. The traffic noise is a problem, our room was on the 11 floor and struggled to sleep the first night. If you stay with Wyndham expect to attend a 2 hours sales pitch to try and make you buy into the Wyndham World mark hotel club!!

Room Tip: Advise to take a room higher up to have less traffic noise.

Stayed a couple of nights over the weekend. Everything we have come to expect of as Worldmark owners. Great location. Short walk to Chinatown, Coles & Museum station. Thank you to all the staff for making our stay super wonderful!

We were only here for one night, and it is just okay in our opinion. The location is okay, few minutes walk to Chinatown, George Street and Central Station. If you are a woman travelling alone, we wouldn't recommend it as it was kinda dark and quiet at night, a bit deserted. The room was nice with a little kitchenette, a lounge and dining room with access to a very small balcony but nevertheless, it's a plus. The downside is the bedroom was not spacious and the bathroom was pretty small. It's okay if you are only there for few nights and spending most of your time outdoor. Staff was very nice. Limited hours for restaurant, but you are not too far away from the buzz of chinatown.
One thing I wasn't happy about was receiving a solicitation phone call to join the membership (time-share) before we even arrived. I feel it was a violation of our privacy. Managed to get rid of them by saying we don't reside in Sydney. :-)
