“Great location”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 April 2014

Three nights stay in March, lovely hotel with nice views of Botanic park, Opera house and bridge in the distance. We arrived about 10:30 in the morning after a long flight and the very helpful staff let us freshen up in the gym as it was much too early to get in the room. We walked around the park and Opera house until around 1:30, when we were able access the room. Room was very nice, clean, comfortable and plenty big enough for our stay. we could walk to the Opera house in 20 minutes if we wanted to but we loved taking our time walking through the wonderful Botanic gardens. We would certainly stay here again.

Room Tip: Try to get a room facing the park and harbour.

Spent three nights here recently while attending a conference in Sydney. Room was quite large and well maintained. The bed was a little hard and only a small TV set high on the wall. Good views of the opera house and bridge. Staff were very friendly and efficient. Buffet breakfast provided a good selection for most tastes. 5 minutes walk from Kings Cross. Ideal for a conference or for a few days exploring Sydney

We arrived at the hotel very early but the staff were really helpful at trying to get us into our room as soon as possible and it was worth the wait as when we opened the door to our room the view of the harbour bridge and the opera house was beautiful!! The first thing I said to my husband when we walked in was WOW look at that view.
As for the rest of our stay - that was lovely too. The rooms where clean, tidy and very comfortable and the staff were more than happy to help with anything.
I would highly recommend paying the extra for a room with a view and we would definitely stay there again if we are lucky enough to come back to Sydney.

Room Tip: Pay the extra for a room with a view - we had room 2102 emerald executive room.

Staying at this hotel tonight. Rooms are nice, spacious and the location is great and close to shops but found a hole in our bed quilt with someone else's black hair on it, which isn't ours because my partner and myself both have blonde hair.

We had a large sized harbour view room on 14th floor offering stunning views over the Opera House towards the Harbour Bridge. Fantastic!!
All staff very helpful and friendly. However we did find the buffet breakfast slightly disappointing even at the discounted rate and found better value nearby.
The hotel is close to The Australia Museum, Hyde Park and Kings Cross, but a "good" walk to the Opera House and Harbour attractions. Hop on/Hop off bus tour stops outside hotel.
Overall an excellent city centre hotel offering very good value for money in spacious rooms. Thoroughly recommend.

Room Tip: Must get a Harbour View!

It sure does not look like the same room as on the website.

I stayed in room 511 for 2 nights last week and was expecting a light coloured contemporary room but when i opened the door was all brown cabinetry, dark carpet, dark green arm chair with a sinking cushion, dark brown head board and side tables. The 5th floor had a musty, old smoke smell.

The bathroom was adequate with communal hand soap and a 2 in one bath and hair soap which caused my hair to itch on the 2nd day. separate body soap and shampoo would be appreciated.
The power socket for the kettle was faulty and we figured this out only after requesting for a second kettle and it didn't work .
The hotel has free in room WiFi for one device only. slightly troublesome if there are 2 people in the room.

The concierge was helpful in giving directions and helping to get a taxi.

There is a supermarket just around the corner. very convenient.

Breakfast was standard. The servers attentive. If you are thinking of staying here, prob opt out of the breakfast and try having breakfast in one of the cafes in the city.

The Location is fair, its walking distance to Museum and st James station- approx 15 plus minutes, but I do not recommend making that trip with luggage.

It's a 10 minute walk to the the CBD along Williams street.

I would probably recommend a hotel in the CBD the next time round, as it's is more lively and close to amenities and attractions. And the room is not very impressive, its looks kinda d

Great start to our holiday. Central location and close to kings cross nite life and plenty of restaurants and bats around area. The tour bus stops right outside so very convenient and easy walk to botanic gardens and other attractions. Good value. Did not use restaurant or bar. Stored our luagage for 3 days when we toured blue mountains and helped when partner lost passport. Many thanks for excellent service and customer care.
