“Not Amazing - But Has Its Own Charm”
Reviewed 4 September 2012

This is not a guns blazing, eye popping wonder of a museum. But entry prices weren't too scary and it has a charm about it. We spent quite some time in the 'library-like' space with all sorts of bits and pieces. Bizarrely, there are stuffed animals popping up in all sorts of odd places! We all liked playing on the interactive sea table. Overall, an old fashioned type of museum that is good for a quiet look around if you're not looking for something flashy and 2012. Has a small cafe attached.

“An old favourite....”
Reviewed 29 August 2012

Took the teenagers for a trip into town and a visit to the museum. It never loses its appeal, no matter what age you are.
They hadnt been since they were in primary school, and yet they were just as fascinated and enjoyed the whole experience as much as when they were younger. Exhibits are well set out and visually stimulating. Well worth a visit....and a repeat....

I took my children to this museum as they were growing up and each visit uncovered more and more. It was not only educational but so much fun to share the exhibitis together.

Great exhibit of ancient animals no longer in the area. Great info on the shape and position of continents on the early earth. Great story of the Aboriginal people, culture, and beliefs.
