“Old Sydney”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 December 2013

This historic area of old Sydney has been developed--with taste--into a major touristic area, and prices are accordingly high in most shops and restaurants; but the old streets and walkways are truly pleasant to walk in, the historic buildings are excellent to view, and in a few spots you can find houses still lived in by ordinary Sydney residents, and pubs which are local rather than driven mainly by the tourist trade. In good weather the outdoor cafes and wine bars are especially attractive features. This is a must-see area, right up there along with the Harbour Bridge (which runs through/over part of The Rocks) and the harbour itself (beside/around it).

“Walk all over to really see it”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 November 2013

It is so walkable, with all kinds of little alleys, shops, bistros and tons of history. Check out the Rocks museum, and the pathway to the bridge.

“A Bit of History”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 November 2013

The old buildings give the area a feeling of the history of the area. Yes, the rock walls add to this interesting area. Lots of restaurants and cafés to sit back and enjoy.
