“Lazy Sunday Afternoon”
Reviewed 9 July 2014

We strolled around the markets, had a great burger for lunch and watched sweets being made at a lolly shop in a small arcade. 1 day was not enough, there is a lot to see in this district!

“Feel the history”
Reviewed 8 July 2014

The Rocks area has a great historical feel to it. Great food, markets, views of the Bridge, opera house & close to Circular quay for a wine & meal.

“The Rocks Markets”
Reviewed 7 July 2014

If you love Australian history or just want to get into the atmosphere of an earlier era, then the Rocks is an important place to visit. My visit happened on a Saturday and I saw the markets at The Rocks. The Irish pubs and the lovely little Irish style tea rooms in the old cottages are really quaint. The markets provide a good selection of goods and mostly hand crafted from a very mixed ethnic group is exciting.

“Step back in time at The Rocks”
Reviewed 7 July 2014

The Rocks is well worth exploring. Start your journey at The Rocks Museum to get a taste of life in Early Australia through go the present day. Fun interactive things for the kids to do which helps to leave an impression of those early years. Then explore the streets and lane ways and use the stone staircases to go from one level to another and discover interesting shops, galleries and cafés. Well signposted to help you find your way. Something for everyone.Enjoy!

“Go to the Free Museum on Kendall Lane”
Reviewed 6 July 2014

The Rocks is very touristy and the shops and cares are "seen you coming" places, but you still have to tick it off your list of places to go in Sydney. It has a lot of history, so it's worth going to the free museum on Kendall Lane. There are activities for children to do, which is useful. It's only a small place but there is plenty of information. There are a number of films about Sydney, The Rocks and The Bridge on a continuous loop, each about 7 minutes long. It was great for Free. It was too small though to not be free. Even so, you could actually spend ages in there if you read or investigated every display.
