VIsiting the Sydney Opera House has been one of the best city attractions I have ever visited. We bought the tour into the Opera (recommended to avoid long queues). We were there on the 31st of December and got the chance to listen to the Sydney Orchestra rehearsing for the night. The tour with the headphone speakers and information gives you a good feeling of internal views of both theaters, the hole history of the long process to build the Opera and the history of the famous Danish designer that design the Opera.

“Children's tour is worth the time and money”
Reviewed 16 April 2012

We took a tour with our girls (age 7&12) that was designed for kids. It was really worth the time. The girls were interested because they remember seeing the opera house on various tv shows. The tour guide was great. He kept things moving, kept the kids involved, but at the same time, we learned a lot about the opera house. Bonus for us, when we went into one of the rooms, the Australian Ballet was practicing, so we got to watch for 5 minutes. They even gave the kids a little backpack full of colored pencils, water bottle, etc. What a nice way to get to see an attraction that I think kids would typically be bored with.

“You can't go to Sydney without visiting this”
Reviewed 16 April 2012

It's an icon. It's gorgeous. Don't visit Sydney without going to see it - even if you just have a drink in one of the out door cafes around it. It's a must do.
