To see the Opera House from a distance only whets your appetite to see more and also the inside - its all really beautiful, the timbers and the design and often seen by overseas travellers. There are also some great resturants as well as some cafes, so whatever you wish to spend on a meal, you would be accomodated. The views from the Opera House, both inside and outside are spectacular, don't miss it when you visit Sydney

Always a must see in Sydney! Some construction happening around it at the moment but still a great sight.

It was a great experience. My family enjoyed it. There was a band setting up for a night performance.

After we caught the ferry back to Circular Quay (key), around 5:30, we walked over to the Opera House on a long shot and asked if there were any tickets left for the Randy Newman concert that night, and if so, were there any discounts.
The absolutely lovely woman behind the counter said there were still tickets in fact quite good seats in the front row of the circle and there was a discount if we had taken the tour, I said well we hadn't done that yet, how much are the tickets, she said $150, I said no way, and she winked and said, "well, since you took the tour the discount makes them $50 each." Happy Anniversary to us!So we ran back to the hotel to clean up (they don't have a dress code at the SOH but we felt zoo grimy)grabbed a quick dinner at Pie Face (fast food meat pies - DELISH, must get them to the states!) and ended our Saturday night by seeing Randy Newman in concert with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra in the main Concert Hall of the Sydney Opera House. Let me tell you - as fantastastic as it looks from the outside - the SOH looks even more amazing from the inside, you can tell you are inside the sails, and the windows are huge and the harbor is so lit up at night and you can see the bridge and the stars, breathtaking. A once in a lifetime concert in a once in a lifetime venue!

What a great experience, the first time was in 100 degrees and this time in a thunder storm. Coming out of a storm in the middle of the bridge to see all the lights of Sidney was magic.
