It was my graduation trip with parents and the hotel located at the corner of the street.
We can walk to every famous tourism attraction and the longest is only 20 minutes.
It was very quite at night so we can get good sleep))

This is a Travelodge who boast the moto 'you dont spend much time in the room so why pay for stuff you don't use'(or something like that). That says it all. Don't expect frills, don't expect panoramic views of the Sydney Harbour bridge or anything remotely like it and don't expect the finest bone china in the restaurant.
Good service is something you ought to expect of any establishment and here they score well. A good nights sleep is also high on the must haves and again no complaints, although don't expect proper king size beds - these are singles pushed together.
So it is functional and reasonably cheap and you wont get bitten by bugs or die of food poisoning.
But the best part about this hotel is its location. York Street is relitively quite for Sydney CBD and in addition to being 20M from Wynyard station you are equally distant from Circular Quay,
China Town and the CBD proper (with all the fancy shops).
If you don't mind functional and you want something central, and you don't have the budget for something in the 5 star range then you wont go wrong.

Room Tip: Rooms with 14 at the end seem to be 2 bedroom 'suites'. i.e. they have a second bedroom.

OK hotel, no frills, a typical Travelodge. Location good - we didn't eat at the hotel but there was plenty of cafes and restaurants very nearby. Room was an OK size but we overlooked a concrete wall. Seems to me that with Travelodges you get everything you need but they are a bit old and tired. Staff on reception were very helpful - we arrived mid-morning ie a bit early for check-in but after 20 minutes she found us a room which we could crash in after our long flight.

We stayed 3 nights from 8 March to 12 March 2013. Good location but the standard is poor. We found the plates at the breakfast bar were not wash cleaned despite we told them every morning (3 mornings but fallen death ears) but they were still not washed cleaned. We might contact the health department to inspect them. House keeping was poor. The cleaner did not wash our dirty cups and glasses. The bed was not made to hotel standard. The toilet water tank was dripping all day and night.

Room Tip: Cups and glasses need to be washed or replenished for clean cups and glasses. Bed cover has to be tug in as most hotel do and not like home.

I've stayed here several times, each time treated courteously.

Standard CBD business hotel. Gets the job done. Not new, no frills, and expect trouble with the lifts, but a great location and very functional.

Personally I'd recommend checking out the more interesting hotels a little further from the CBD but which have more character. However if you're busy with meetings all day long for a 2-3 stint in Sydney, this place is perfectly suited to parking your butt and getting some comfortable shut-eye. A romantic couple getaway it is not.

Breakfast is ok. Note that you won't find anything better nearby in the morning, so if you need your bacon and eggs book a B&B rate.
